We stayed at this hotel to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It was a fabulous spot set in beautiful surroundings but with easy access to Conwy and other towns off the A55. We were welcomed and shown to our room (the bridal suite R11) by Diane the general manager who was very friendly and helpful. The room was large and had... More

We stayed here a few years ago and just loved it. It was sold to a different owner a couple years ago and seems to have declined. The rooms seem a little worn and the food was not as good. Most importantly though the people were not nearly as friendly. I doubt I would stay here again.

This review has upset me. I do my very best to greet guests personally on their arrival. However, as our General Manager, Diane, explained to you when you checked in, my wife and I had to be away from the business to attend my brother's funeral; he'd died at a young age following a brief illness. No excuses, but it... More

Me and my partner stayed at the house for 1 night and were welcomed when we arrived by the owner Hugh who was so warm and friendly. We had a fabulous night, we had one of the rooms with a hot tub which was great and the room was gorgeous with a sitting area, tele and coffee/tea making facilities, whirlpool... More

Glad you enjoyed your stay enough to want to return. Don't forget that if you contact me, I can ensure great dinner, bed and breakfast deals. But do try and book in advance as our hot tub rooms do go very quickly! More

I had the pleasure of staying at the Sychnant Pass on a few work related trips. From the first moment through the entrance door, I was given a warm welcome from Hugh and his team, all really nice people. The food is fantasic, the setting is superb and the service second to none. The only down-side was that I was... More

Arrived late on Friday evening after long slow journey, and were met by Hugh who made sure we sorted our meal as it was nearly 8 and dinner finished at 8. Showed us to our room (11) which was a super room with very large bed, large bathroom with double basin, showers and spa bath, nice lounge area and small... More

Thank you for taking time to post a review on Trip Advisor and we are glad that you liked your room. It is our best room and so priced accordingly. As you say, breakfast is served from 8.30am on weekdays and 9am on Sundays, but we are always happy to accommodate people who would like an earlier start time if... More

What a lovely hotel set in the countryside. We stayed for one night. We stayed in room 3 which had massive king size bed, spa bath in bathroom and private decking with private hot tub! We had an evening meal which was 5*, could not fault anything, the waitress was lovely and pleasant. Thanks to Hugh, Janet and Diane for... More

What a beautiful house and what a warm welcome! Hugh and Janet are very hospitable making guests feel exceedingly welcome in their home. With the support of Diane (front of house) and Gareth (fab new chef) they create a very special atmosphere that we will have to return to and enjoy again. The children (15 & 11) had such a... More

We stayed at this hotel for a weekend whilst my husband was recovering from a stay in hospital. We were met by the owner Hugh who was very welcoming and helpful to us both. The weekend weather was very windy and freezing as it was January, but what a joy to be swimming in the lovely heated swimming pool looking... More

We booked for two nights between Christmas and New Year. Our room was very spacious and clean. We used the leisure facilities, but the indoor pool was barely warm. Not very inviting. However, the real fun started on the first evening. My wife went to shower before dinner, and the water was cold. We contacted reception who advised us to... More

Thank you for posting your review. We always welcome accurate reviews and, sadly for us, many of your comments are accurate. It's true that the swimming pool temperature was cooler than we would have liked due to a problem with the heat exchanger. Unfortunately, it was impossible to get the necessary parts between Christmas and New Year but we were... More
