When they had lost out booking made a couple of hours before one should have guessed. The saving grace of the Castle is the great food, well cooked and great presentation. We agree with all the other glowing comments-ambience/food/comfort and service. Our one and only minor gripe was that the bar/eating ares were too warm and stuffy in the evening. We also wished there was somewhere quieter for residents to sit in the evening-if they just wanted to read over a drink or a coffee. more

I stayed here mid Mar 09. Had previous experience in July 08 - wedding anniversary and the food was out of this world. Mar 09 and if anything, catering was even better and fairly reasonably priced. Hotel rooms are comfortable, well furnished, spotlessly clean and have all of the usual extras such as wifi. Will use again. more
