Stayed for two weeks with my partner and 2 children all had a lovely stay in the cottage, was a good base to explore Snowdonia and other attractions and with grounds big enough for the children to run around in and not have to worry about cars etc . The staff and management were friendly and were always interested in what... More

Based ourselves here for a 3 day walking break in Snowdon National Park. It ticked all the boxes. Clean, comfortable and good value for money. The owner and staff were all very friendly and helpful. Tasty and satisfying breakfasts set us up for a day's hiking. Can't fault the place at all and will happily stay again if we return... More

The accommodation is in a terrace of chalet style rooms connected to the main building by a covered walk way. The rooms were bright and cheerful but, this being Wales, towels and cloths left hanging in the rooms could feel a bit damp. It would have been helpful if there had been functioning heated towel rails. Another little thing -... More

Spent a couple of days at The Lodge earlier this week and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The bathroom was bit of a squeeze, but that would be my only criticism. Beautiful grounds and surrounding area. Weather was kind enough for us to sit outside each afternoon/evening. Beds very big and comfy. Breakfast very tasty and variations to menu catered for.... More

Just returned from a very enjoyable 5 night break. Stunning, peaceful surroundings in which to stay for a short break. The Lodge offers a quiet, friendly, clean and tidy environment. Neil (the owner) and his staff are very helpful, happy to meet your needs and willing to share their local knowledge. The food was excellent and nicely presented both in... More

We have recently returned from a 3 night short break at the Lodge Hotel in Tal-y-Bont. From the first phone call to Neil (the Owner) we felt reassured that he listened to our specific (disability) needs including the needs of my assistance dog from Dogs for the Disabled. On arrival we received a warm welcome from Neil and we were... More

Chose this place for my mothers 60th. The place is lovely and clean and the food was fab, beer was horrible and very expensive. But on the other side I wasn't happy with a few things and wanted to let the owner know about it. We paid £85 for each room, the beds were so hard it was like u... More

I feel that this individual has difficulty distinguishing between a small family run hotel and that of a local "Beer Lead" Pub. My pints are on average 10p dearer than that in our local pubs and I believe that this individual is misinformed regarding pricing and comparing "Like for Like". Regarding the firmness of the mattress - this is very... More

Nice but dated ... And over priced ...and watch how much you are charged for drinks..make sure you sign for them as you or your friends order on your room...Neil seems nice but seems to be out to make a quick buck...£5 to iron a shirt ???? Would I go back... I don't think so. Cleaning ladies however were friendly... More

This coustomer paid £85 per night on Bed & Breakfast Terms. At check-in she wanted a reduction because her husband couldn't make it. I advised that this wasn't possible due to the terms and conditions of our cancellation policy. The customer accepted this. This lady's Son was staying at a Wedding Venue which is just down the road from our... More

Not that I wanted to find anything especially but for the money this was good value and I got the impression that the owner, Neil had really tried to make sure everything was 'right' for his guests. The room, ok - it could have been a bit bigger but the beds were comfortable, very very clean, quiet - oh the... More

My staff and I are so pleased that you couldn't find much to complain about as we endeavour to make every guest have a pleasurable experiance. Regarding the charge for your dog...............We don't think that £10 per night is excessive as a kennel would charge you this amount for your dog. We hope that "as you couldn't find anything to... Excellent rooms comfortable and spacious but lack of sufficient soap after request is indeed bewildering.Brilliant breakfast graciously served .... Dinner is over priced for fare provided which is medicore. There is a quaint pub up in the hill called the Bull which did better.Staff always helpful but the boss was unusual so as an experienced traveller would say hard to fathom... This guest used the phrase " I am the biggest Trip Adviser contributor in my country" and with this he had myself and my staff "jumping through hoops" until enough was enough! This gentleman was given extra soap, but this was found on check-out still in its box on top of the dressing table. I offered to drive this customer... More
