My sisters brought me to Wales to celebrate my 30th birthday and I couldnt have asked for a better place to stay.We felt welcome from the minute we walked through the door to the moment we left. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are warm and inviting. The breakfast was amazing and all freshly cooked. I will definitely be... More

Jenny and Kevin are fab hosts, made us feel very welcome. The guest house is clean and cosy and quite unique...... You won't find another place like this! The breakfast is delicious and Jenny's stories are hilarious! The location is great and you can walk into Abergavenny easily. We were eating at the walnut tree and Kevin drives the guests... More

We stayed one night at the Guesthouse on New Year's Eve this year as we were dining at the Walnut Tree (also recommended!). The house was very cosy, with parrots who spoke to the guests and hosts with a fabulous sense of hospitality and fun. Jenny, the hostess with the mostess, provided entertainment for everyone at breakfast with local stories... More

The owners gave us a warm and friendly welcome as did their cats! The house was warm (sometimes overly warm) and cosy. The decor is traditional and the breakfast is a good home cooked spread with options catering for different tastes. All in all a comfortable stay with interesting people.

Kevin and Jenny were wonderful in accommodating my family at the last minute! We were given a hearty welcome and nothing seemed too much trouble! The beds were really comfy! My 2 small children absolutely loved seeing the animals.. birds, friendly cats and chickens outdoors and even had the opportunity to collect some eggs after breakfast which made their day!... More

We had an absolutely delightful 4 night stay. Jenny and Kevin are personable and caring hosts. Two of the cats knew we were cat people and cuddled up with us for naps in the comfy lounge where we read on a rainy day. What an amenity for cat lovers! Breakfasts were full of choice (order on a card the night... More

I stayed here for 4 weeks whilst on hospital placement. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The service was fantastic, all staff were friendly; along with a wide choice for breakfast and immaculately clean rooms! I was made to feel at home. Would visit again!

A lovely, welcoming place. Breakfasts are great - the guests get to choose the night before from a very good menu selection, plus buffet selections: You won't leave hungry!!. Loved the 4 cats especially Squeaks (the orange tabby) who will be your friend 'forever' for a bit of petting and attention. But Guests, DO NOT FEED THE CATS - some... More

I thoroughly enjoyed my 4 night stay here...even though hosts Jenny and Kevin were away the first two nights, the staff were extremely helpful. Town maps with recommendations for pubs, restaurants, etc premarked were very handy - answered most of my list of questions on arrival! Breakfasts were excellent - eggs fresh from the chicken! Room was spotless and bed... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Hosts Jenny and Kevin were helpful, kind people, and experts on the local area. The Guest House is an easy walk to the town centre, and a short drive from attractions such as the truly magnificent walks up nearby mountains, such as the Sugar Loaf and Skirrid. Our room was warm, comfortable, and spacious... More
