Stayed here for a night to do some walking in the Brecon Beacons. The welcome was friendly; the room was big, clean and comfortable; and the breakfast was excellent (can't remember having a better breakfast in a B and B). Very reasonably priced too. Particularly good for fans of parrots (there are two in the dining room).

From the moment my Dad and myself stepped into The Guest House we felt welcome. Loved the fact that they have so many pets around as I'm a big animal lover so this was home from home for me. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable, with all we could need provided. As for the breakfast, the choice was amazing,... More

I really enjoyed my stay at The Guest House. I was with a walking group and we all stayed at different bed and breakfast establishments. Six of us stayed here. The breakfast was outstanding and could not fault it in any way. Kevin and staff were extremely pleasant and accommodating. My room had everything in it that I needed. Another... More

We stayed here for two nights in April when visiting friends to see Max Boyce in concert in Aber (Max v funny). This guest house is fantastic and is only a 5 minute walk from the town centre. We have stayed before and Kevin & Jenny are so friendly and provide one of the best breakfasts of any hotel we... More

We strongly recommend this very well located, cosy, clean and quiet B&B owned by a very friendly couple Jenny and Kevin. We first checked ourselves in the Guest House a few years ago and have been coming back every year. Jenny and Kevin are great hosts. They ensure the rooms are warm, spotless and that the guests have what they... More

A warm welcome, good size rooms and comfortable beds. Breakfast sets you up for the day and a relaxing lounge. The parrots are most entertaining at breakfast and the birds in the yard make for interesting conversation. Great owners and a smashing place. Ideal for walking in the area especially the Black Mountains.

We visited Abergavenny for one night and stayed in the Guest House, it is a very cosy and comfortable place to stay. Kevin is a very hospitable host. Special thanks to him for lending us his bikes when we found out that on Sunday we couldn't rent bikes in the town, he saved our day and allowed us to enjoy... More

Our group, hiking in the Brecon Beacons, were given a very warm welcome by the hosts Jenny and Kevin. We enjoyed the breakfast with muesli, fruit and yoghurt plus of course the great full English/Welsh. Kevin was a great help in organising a taxi for us on the morning we left. I can thoroughly recommend The Guest House when staying... More
