What a great find ! Just touring around looking to stay where we liked and this pub had great friendly staff, good food and nice clean and quiet rooms , would definitely stay again. Lovely little country town feel with city food and accommodation .

We visited the Farmers Arms looking for a nice evening meal and we were not disappointed. Although my first choice of fish cakes was not available, I settled for the chicken breast, whilst my parents opted for the Thai curry. The home cooked chips were fabulous! Each meal was well presented - the bar staff were very attentive and friendly.... More

We found the pub and B&B to be fine, not anything above average. Room number 4 was comfortable (for 3 adults) but there was very little room at the sink and the Farmers Arms sign outside creaked in the wind which was a bit of a pain. Breakfast cost £6 extra and was fine although there are no extras such... More

Very centrally located accommodation in Abergavenny and just a couple of minutes walk from the main street. Pub is clean and was modernised a couple of years ago. Warm welcome on arrival from Gareth who is an excellent front of house. Took our bags upstairs and showed us into the small twin room which we had booked for one night.... More

Stayed in a massive room, easily fitting us and our three kids. Staff were very friendly, and made our visit a real pleasure. Some lovely, well kept beers complemented a great evening menu, which we tried twice to universal approval from our choosy kids. All prices were very reasonable. Breakfasts were lovely and very filling, setting us up for a... More

We wanted an overnight stay in Abergavenny; central location, family room, comfort and value for money being the main requirements. After searching a few website we came across The Farmers Arms - check out their website, it’s concise, professional and inviting. We emailed for information and the reply from Simon was courteous, friendly and welcoming, and if you roll all... More

Just stayed last minute at Simon and Karen's Farmers Arms - we were in urgent need for a bed for the night and a late meal! Having arrived just after 9.30pm we were welcomed with open arms and Simon very kindly opened up the kitchen again for just the two of us!! He could have easily told us it was... More

Friendly staff, great atmosphere, and lots of options on the menu. What more could we wish for?Our evening meal was delicious! We stayed the night and our room was very spacious and clean, with a comfy bed. I was very impressed when the owner offered to put all my hand washing through the drier for me. That's what I call... Booked this accommodation for our party to stay overnight following a wedding. What a warm welcome we had from the owner and bar manager. The rooms were spacious (huge), clean and extremely comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was brilliant - almost too much. Plenty of tea and coffee, too. We will certainly book here again when we next visit Abergavenny.
