The accommodation at the Farmers Arms is basic but good value for money. Meanwhile, the hospitality is first class. We were warmly welcomed by the lovely people of the Farmer Arms when we arrived. It really has that feel of a family run pub, although in this add its a family of friends. They went out of their way to... More

Fantastic and enormous 'family' room, we could have happily hung out in the room for a lot longer. This is a pub with rooms taken over only a few days before by a very friendly South African guy who clearly is going to make it his own. He knows the hotel world and has a great chef with him. Unfortunately... More

You wouldn't find this pub easily, the pub itself is well hidden with beautiful surroundings! We ordered our drinks from the bar and we're pointed to our table which we reserved. The menus were sticky and could do with a clean, same as the table as I left with sauce on my top from where I leaned against the table.... More

We are sorry for your bad experience, I would like to clarify the point that you have described a totally different pub, and not us in your review. First and foremost you say that 'you wouldn't find this pub easily', we are situated in the heart of a bustling and vibrant town centre just 30 seconds stroll from the market... More

My family and I decided to try this little pub for a spot of lunch during a shopping trip in Abergavenny. We all ordered the doorstep sarnie and chips (£5/6) the lady offered us a choice of either home cooked carved ham salad, tuna salad, egg and cress and BLT sandwiches. When they came we were all delighted! They were... More

I stayed at The Farmers Arms for 2 nights recently. Its located in a nice part of Abergavenny; easily accessible and (certainly at weekends in March) easy parking outside. The room was lovely, spotless and comfortable. The bar is great, good bunch of friendly local people and great selection of ales and other drinks. Breakfast was beautiful, in fact my... More

Immaculately clean, spacious room. Comfortable beds. The best full English breakfast ever. Lovely pub atmosphere but quiet in room. The best and most friendly hospitality we have ever found in overnight accommodation. Excellent value.

I dropped in with my family for lunch and was pleased with the welcome, the service, the food and drinks, the hospitality and the price. Recommended! The menu offered some good options and they serve lunch past 2pm, unlike some pubs, the decor etc is fine and its a central location.

Stayed two nights, found the room very clean and tidy and the staff very friendly.couple of minor issues, our room No3 must of been over the kitchen and from 5 PM to 10.30 Pm you get a Noise/Droom from some type of heavy motor and we had no heating radiators cold to which they tried to bleed to no effect...
