We have just had a two day break at Llansantffraed Court. Having read the reviews of previous guests on trip advisor after making the booking we were a little apprehensive about our stay. We need not have worried. The drive up to the hotel and first view is beautiful. the reception staff were helpful and very friendly, as we found... more

Have just attended a wedding at this hotel. Ceremony started at 1pm but guests not allowed to check in until 2.30pm! After a lengthy journey to get to the wedding and staying as a guest overnight, this was unacceptable. Receptionist suggested that we could use the ladies and gents cloakrooms to change in. Room tired, carpet grubby, unable to use... more

We booked this hotel by chance and were very pleased to have done so. First the pluses: Lovely buidling in a great setting, spacious rooms - we stayed in room 15 on the top floor which had great views and was cool even during the recent heatwave, the food was great - we ate table d'hote and had venison and... more

I attended a wedding at this hotel this past weekend and whilst I did not stay there I felt that I had to put a review on Tripadvisor to warn future customers what to expect. Whilst the overall impression of the hotel outside is of a stately country home inside it is very worn with cheap fittings. We arrived for... more

The location of this hotel is great – it was just off the main road but far enough that you couldn’t hear the traffic. The hotel was very quiet too. The view from the room was fantastic – rolling hills and a herd of cattle! The food here was excellent – especially the date pudding (this was what swayed the... more

I stayed for one night at this hotel. It was very traditional looking and in it's own grounds. The decoration was in keeping with the hotel and I had 4 windows! The hotel was clean and well kept. The food was very nice but quite expensive. If I had been staying for longer than a few nights (which I quite... more

Having recently read a positive review about this Hotel in the Telegraph I was interested to see whether this sparked any response on tripadvisor. My interest? Well we got married here and found the whole experience fantastic, and have stayed on a number of occasions both before and after. Although no place can be all things to all people I... more

Mike34 - West Yorkshire. We have always enjoyed our Stays at Llansantffred Court, wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else when visiting this wonderfull area of the UK. I find the staff are always friendly and informative, and the food keeps my ample frame going. We have stayed several times over the Last 10 years and long may we continue to... more

This place is the proverbial curate’s egg. There are some major plusses but also some minuses. The Llansantffraed is a fine old country house (apparently dating from the reign of William and Mary) set in beautiful grounds. It impresses immediately at first sight, which is at the end of a half-mile driveway from the main road. The welcome at reception... more

Went to a wedding here recently. Good job that the weather was fine as it would of been cramped inside the reception area. The canapes were lovely but the food was hit and miss, not what I was expecting from an independant outfit. The evening food was nothing like I had had a few years ago on a previous visit.... more
