My partner and i stayed at this hotel for two nights whilst attending a wedding in Abergavenny. The hotel was very cheap and only cost £60 per room per night so i wasn't expecting too much. The hotel was in a good location on the edge of town and there was ample parking to the rear, the gent who checked... More

Arriving at the hotel after 10pm, I was welcomed by Jess, the receptionist, who was also doubling as barmaid. The bar was quiet but apparently had been quite lively earlier in the evening. After depositing my bag in my room, I spent a pleasant 30 minutes chatting to Jess, and Ray, who does the catering. The room was comfortable, the... More

Stopped there on the 8th / 9th September while working on the Tour of Britain. Found it to be friendly, clean and staff very helpful. Decent meals and drinks available till late. Quite a few rooms booked up so its a popular hotel for stop overs. Road side rooms can be very noisy and if you are on the top... More

We came in late and the reception was very welcoming, and offered a great rate for the night. We took the room and were pleasantly surprised as we were not sure what to expect. On our way out for dinner the women working the bar gave us many excellent restaurant suggestions, and later on a nice evening stroll to go... More

My boyfriend and I stayed 3 nights on different occasions at the Swan and we loved it each time!! Friendly and nice staff, very clean rooms, a nice, welcoming bar downstairs and it's great value for money! Very much recommended!!

This place isn't very good. It's just well below par all round. I need to write at least 200 characters so I'll mention the breakfast too, which is extremely limited and of not very good quality. If you're searching for a positive, it has a free car park.

We only had one night at the Swan which was a bit of a shame but I am sure we will be going back soon, the staff were all very pleasant and the room was very comfortable and homely, however the shower could of done with a revamp but it was perfectly useably, there was live entertainment on in the... We has a 3 night stay at the Swan and was not disappointed. The room was lovely and clean. As it is a pub, there were of course people down there and at times it could be a bit loud however it was quiet after 11pm. Rooms were secure and the breakfast was hearty and good. Nice location to the... More
