just had 3 nights at the lion hotel. not worth the 60 pounds per night. the room was damp no bed side lights, stairs to the rooms narrow and no banister, also steps from the bedroom to the bathroom were very slippy as they had been painted with gloss paint. the dinning room was a bit dated not the place...

The landlady was very kind and caring, however the location is rather bad. Our room was facing a 50mph road with heavy traffic generating a lot of noise, despite the double glazing windows.
We stayed here for a short holiday. The family atmosphere we particularly liked. The food was good and the rooms were clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is ideal, only a 5 minutes drive to the market town of Abergavenny. Highly recommended we will be staying again for certain.
A cosy, pleasant stay in a nice hotel for the price.
Abergavenny was just down the road (this Hotel is not in the centre ot town) which is a lovely little market town well worth visiting.
We found it very easy to get to and park and in a very good, central location for exploring the wider area.
