We had a lovely meal here, the food was perfect. Local produce, good choice, and very pleasant staff. The views from the restaurant are wonderful, large windows allow you to enjoy the benefits of a beautiful area. On our visit it was a very hot evening and the open windows allowed the fresh air to keep us comfortable. I live... More

Stayed here on a Groupon deal for partner's birthday. Really enjoyed our stay. Upgraded to a room with balcony which was totally worth it (stayed in room 105). Room was clean and comfortable. Make sure you book a table for dinner if you're staying over a weekend. Three course set menu for £22 was lovely. Wasn't so keen on the... More

Stayed at the hotel for one night and it was great! The view was gorgeous and we could hear the stream from outside. The room was big, clean and a good selection of tea coffee and biscuits. There are supermarkets and a number of pubs near by which came in very handy. The breakfast was the best breakfast I've had... More

The hotel is ideally situated on hillside overlooking the river between Abergavenny and Crickhowell. The rooms are in a detached three storey annexe separated slightly from the main hotel. We had a room on the middle floor with a river view. The floor above had the view but no vernanda. I think this is worthwhile as the road is quite... More

We went for a whirlwind break from the big smoke in this charming little countryside hotel with stunning views. (See attached pictures.) The staff are very friendly, and the hotel is great, albeit a little peculiar. We would have given 5 stars, if it wasn't for a few details: There are some DIY solutions here and there - oddly drawn... More

Good room and views over the Usk are excellent. Staff were helpful but free wi-fi would not work and generally hotel is a bit tatty - lots of potential but a bit of weeding and tidying up would work wonders. Ate in restaurant once and were very underwhelmed, though to be fair also heard some diners enthusing over their dishes.Really... More

My wife and I recently here and contacted the staff about a very loud and incessant drone in our room. They were very prompt in coming to the room and agreed there was a very loud noise but were unable to provide any explanation. The manager turned up shortly afterwards and explained that it was a faulty water pump above... More

My wife bought us a Groupon overnight stay for my birthday. Throughout the service was excellent. It's a country coach house hotel on the main road and does appear a bit tatty at the corners in places but our room was clean and bright with everything we needed. Good choice of refreshments in the room and a lovely view of... More

The hotel is about halfway between Abergavenny & Crickhowell. The bedroom had a balcony with table & chairs. The bedroom was a good size, clean, well decorated & comfortable. The view from the balcony overlooking the river & countryside was excellent. There is a a nice conservatory to sit & read in. The breakfast was excellent with a good choice.... More
