I have not stayed in the hotel, but often eat in the restaurant. If the number of locals who eat there is any indication of quality and value, then the owners and staff are getting things right. The bar, where meals can be ordered with pre dinner drinks, is cosy and the staff welcoming. The dining room is spacious and... More

We did not stay only called in en route back home from holiday. A warm welcome from mine host and staff. Clean, efficient and a good choice on offer for lunch time. Recommended. Toilets clean and accessible for all.

What lovely views from the rooms with the balconies. Although it was pouring with rain and the river was very full. Rooms were small and the bathrooms tiny, but they were clean. The food in the restaurant was lovely and a nice choice of wines. Breakfast was tasty. The price for the room and meal was good, compared to the... More

We were very disppointed with our stay at this hotel which is unaccountably recommended in the usually very good Welsh Rarebits guide. My first impression was cheap motel, the decor was dated, the rooms were tiny and the bathrooms smaller still. The rooms were obviously 'refurbished' on the cheap, tacky fabrics, flimsy mdf furniture etc but the worst thing was... More

A friend of our's, living in Builth Wells, was celebrating his 91st birthday. Having used this venue in 2010 to celebrate his 90th birthday we decided that it was so enjoyable that we would repeat the experience!! I am pleased to report that the room, hospitality, food and overall package was up to the extremely high quality that we had... More

This was our second visit and we were not dissapointed. If you want somewhere to stay for a special occasion, you can't go far wrong. We had a lovely room with a balcony looking out over the river Usk and across the valley to the mountains. The staff are all so pleasant and so helpful and the food was superb.... More

Have stayed at this hotel on several occasions when our route has taken us near. We have always loved the service, food and friendly welcome. The rooms are quite small, but made up for by lovely balconies overlooking the river and mountains beyond. Our favourite member of staff, Wendy has now left, and sadly the rest have not got the... This is the second time that I have stayed at the Llanwenarth Hotel the first time wa son business and I am pleased to say that we were not disappointed with our first stay for leisure. The hotel offers a complete package, from the views across the Usk Valley, to the superb evening meals and breakfast. Service was excellent and... More

We stayed just one night. Whilst the bedroom wasn't the largest it was very adequate. Well furnished and decorated with fanastic views from balcony over the River Usk to the hills. The food in restaurant was first class. Staff very friendly and although someone had added their drinks to our room there was no problem sorting. We will certaainly return... More
