we'd been walking we were hungry, I was dubious, the hotel looked old fashioned, the welcome was lovely, no sandwiches in the bar but a fabulous selection of light lunch plates, very reasonable, cheery bar maid, all smiles and very helpful, table by the window watching the river rush by. Good food , good prices, about £7-10 a head plus... More

We visited Llanwenarth arms as a group of friends for a Christmas meal; the food was sublime: Tasty and attractive with some innovative little culinary twists that spiced up the traditional Christmas fayre. Excellent choice at a reasonable price. The staff here were also wonderfully friendly and welcoming. I would recommend and shall be returning.

We stayed for my birthday it was a lovely relaxing weekend. Our room had its own balcony overlooking the river Usk on the night we toasted my birthday with champagne on the balcony. Our evening meal was steak for my husband and swordfish for me. The staff were attentive but not intrusive

Came here for a couple of days break on a good deal. We arrived and our room was overlooking the River Usk which was fab. Although November, it was a beautiful setting. The hotel is just a 5 min drive from Abergavenny and the food at the hotel is very good. We ate in the first night and went to... More

Stayed here with another couple a few days ago. We had rooms with a balcony overlooking the river, it was fabulous and the sun was shining ! Comfortable room and nice furnishings. The only negative the bathroom was very small . We dined in the restaurant and again had a lovely meal. Staff very friendly and attentive. The hotel is... More

Beautiful meal last night for the wedding reception following my daughter's marriage. The beef brisket was superb as was all the food. Excellent service and friendly and attentive staff. Will definitely visit again.

We had 2 nights here for £59 a night including breakfast - this was for a room with balcony over the river. The room has been refurbished recently and is very pleasant and comfortable. The bathroom is small but very easy and pleasant to use. You might struggle if overweight though (actually not may, you will). The river views are... More

We have just got back home from a wonderful four day break at this delightful Hotel and Restaurant . The staff were so friendly and helpful, our room was larger than we expected ,the Bed was more comfortable than our own and having a room with a balcony overlooking the river was worth the £5 a night extra. We were... More

We stayed for the weekend with friends. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful from check in right through to departure. Ask for a room at the back, the view from the room is stunning. Breakfast was lovely too. Would definitely return. Excellent walking territory, a few miles from Abergervenny so everything great.

My husband and I spent 2 glorious days here last weekend. We try when possible to have a hotel break once a month and we both agreed this was the best this year by far! We had a lovely room, light airy and clean with a fab little balcony looking out onto the river Usk. The only thing I would... More
