The Kings Arms has incredibly friendly and helpful staff. We visited in July and it was very hot. We were 'upgraded' to the attic, which is quirky but has low and very large beams that make access to bed, bath, toilet etc very challenging! The room has only one tiny window and being in the roof space is very hot... More

What a FABULOUS place for celebrating or whatever the reason for staying might be! On March 16th 2014 Had an AMAZING birthday in the BEST place ever!!!! Stayed in the spacious "attic" room which had a big stand alone bath in the middle! Great for lots of bath bubbles & cava! What a beautiful historic & well decorated hotel! Thanks... More

Stayed in the Blorenge room for a night to celebrate my husbands birthday - the room was lovely!! His and hers sinks in the bathroom aswel as a big jacuzzi tub! Nice Dove toiletries to use. Very large bedroom with kingsize bed (fabulous pillows), flatscreen tv and dvd player! Wonky floorboards and old beams add to the charm of this... More

The owners have done an amazing job of renovating this old pub and are trying very hard to offer a luxury bed and breakfast experience. Lots of character!! We felt at home! The rooms are extremely clean and decorated with good taste. The evening meal was tasty and a good price. The staff all work hard to offer service with... More

I spent a brilliant weekend in The Kings Arms, Abergavenny while I was in town for a family Wedding. I would strongly recommend this to a friend, and would certainly return myself. The overall experience was excellent. The building and rooms and beautiful - a fantastic blend of boutique splendour and wonderful old-fashioned traditional ancient architecture - think medieval stonework,... More

We stayed just one Saturday night for a wedding and arrived in a rush. From the first moment all of the staff were fantastic. They allowed us to check in early which was great as we could change for the wedding and served us a well presented and very tasty lunch. It came quickly and again the service was immaculate.... They advertised a local band/live music. We get there and you cannot even walk into the bar. I the only venue in town that is actually set up with a back room and a stage they have these poor musicians IN THE BAR! Asked why and was told the back room is set up for a breakfast TOMORROW! So I... More

Warm, friendly with fantastic hosts. It is well priced with an excellent menu, excellent chef! The place is historic with a modern theme. Very well located, they even have a real ambient feel in the bar on a Friday with an acoustic guitarist playing!

My partner & I called in tonight for a drink and ended up staying for food. The menu whilst small was fantastically varied and quite out of the ordinary, which is what tempted up to stay. I had the mushroom & goats cheese Pasta, my partner had the venison sausage followed by chocolate brownie and orange marmalade parfitt. two courses... More
