We really enjoyed our stay here and were looked after by the owners who were lovely, friendly and genuine people. The inn is extremely old and full of character. We had what was for me one of the nicest and biggest rooms we’ve ever stayed in with a large stand alone bath which I’ve never experienced before! (Although my partner... More

What a fabulous surprise when we checked in to the Kings Arms. After asking my friend & his wife to join my wife & I on a trip to Abergavenny, I booked this hotel just a few days before arriving. On arrival, we were welcomed by a very friendly lady & checked us in. She then took us to our... More

After spending the preceding week on a whirlwind business trip by car to the UK, and having lived in Scotland and London for 6 years some time ago, I thought I needed to get away and Wales was a natural choice.... I had never been to Abergavenny and decided this was the place to be. I called up the Kings... More

My husband and I arrived at the King's arms after spending a week in the Shetland Islands on the last leg of our honeymoon. We had stayed in lovely accomodation in Scotland and certainly did not expect the standard of the rooms we had stayed in to be exceeded, which is what happened at the King's arms. What a lovely... The Kings Arms is quirky and full of character, the rooms are beautifully presented and they offer everything you could possibly need during your stay - even down to complimentary bottles of water by the bed. The team are helpful and friendly, the bathrooms and linens were clean and sparkling white and the breakfast was really good - even a... More

A lovely place to stay in this lovely town. The owners are very hospitable, the food is good and the rooms are really comfy - each one being quite individual. We really enjoyed the stay and evening meal we had there and had a good night's sleep in the super comfy beds. Breakfast was also very good. Very good value... More

A group of us stayed one night while we were on a work team building event. We loved the rooms. The building is really ancient and interesting and the rooms are very light and airy. We wanted to play games in the evening and the manager went home to pick up a selection of cards and games for us!

We stayed a couple of nights during our 7 week European holiday and we loved the place!! The rooms are immaculate, the breakfasts are lovely [try Ross's mushrooms :-)] but what made it truely memorable was our host Heather. She was wonderful & couldn't do enough for us; even taking us on a tour of the 15th century building after... More
