Arrived at the Kings arms by chance last Sunday without booking 🙈 waitress found us a table and could not do enough for us Ordered rack of lamb from the specials menu and was not disappointed it was delicious Would highly recommend the sticky toffee pudding for dessert or my mothers favourite pavlova We all ordered different meals and no... I expected this to be an old style Inn, but what I didn't expect was a run down room (especially at the price they charge). The room had a very tired feel - in desperate need of an update. The bed was comfortable, but the quality of sleep was not helped by a fire alarm going off at 4.00am and... More

Look, I'll say at the very start that our meal was lovely, the staff were great and the service was spot on. However, we were overcharged by £51. Six of us dined there, we all had a starter and main, couple of drinks (mainly water) 2 teas and 2 coffees. The bill came and was presented to my father yes... More

I went to visit Abergavenny for the day yesterday and was looking for a nice place to have lunch. We found The King's Arms and were delighted with the experience. The staff were very friendly, the service fast and efficient and the meal delicious! My mother commented that it was the nicest cod she had ever tasted! Highly recommended for... More

The service here is always outstanding, with a personal touch. Very family and child friendly. Live music some evenings. Fantastic food. Great for families, friends, couples. I would thoroughly recommend.

My family and I are just back from two days in Abergavenny. The weather was not the best, but the quality of the food, service and friendliness of the staff at the Kings Arms made our stay an absolute joy. We were 2 adults and 2 children staying in one of the family rooms which was more than adequate. The... More

A party of 12 stayed here for a weekend in June. Great location, unique and quaint rooms, fantastic food, good choice of ale and attentive staff. The town centre is less than a minutes walk and good parking adjacent hotel. We all had a great weekend in Abergavenny which was made more memorable by the hospitality we received from all... More

We stayed 4 nights in under the roof room n. 10. It is a very nice comfy room. Some features are only ok for short people as ceilings are really low both in room and bathroom. A tent would help to sleep longer in the morning. Shower works perfectly but is very narrow. Sink is tiny. Minor details to be... More

Had my 60th birthday party at the Kings Arms. The venue is superb, really unique function room with bar. Staff looked after us brilliantly. Tables were covered with linen table cloths and had flowers and candles placed on them. A 'children's table' had been set out with games and colouring books which was much appreciated by parents and kids alike!... More

I stayed here recently, and phoned to book a room last minute. The lady kindly stayed late till I got there, and directed me to the Hotel. It is an old building with many interesting period features, and all well maintained to a good standard. A bit quirky for me but all round good quality establishment. Only a few small... More
