Very clean accommodation, and facilities were very good. Parking is available close by. Very accommodating staff and hotel bar and restaurant is excellent. We came across this hotel and walked in off the street. We had the best time in the bar with locals who welcomed us.

Stayed here for one night with a few friends after going for a walk. Room was spotless. Bathroom lovely (not that I care too much but my wife always checks reviews to make sure the bathroom is clean). We ate in the bar because we wanted to watch some rugby but there is a restaurant attached to the King's Head... More

Four of us booked in on a walking weekend - first impressions coming through the pub to check in were disappointing. However the rooms were clean warm and comfortable, and way better than our first impressions led us to expect. I would happily go back there!

I stopped for one night on a business trip to Blaenavon and found the hotel ok.The bedroom was nothing special but perfectly clean and bed quite comfortable. The room was on the top floor with no lift and on the side of a main road, There was quite a bit of traffic noise early in the morning due to a road... Booked in here by work, arrived 10pm on Friday, to find karaoke and disco at full volume in bar. Had to close windows to block noise from street, bed was damp, whilst the mattress was thin and uncomfortable. Breakfast was ready for us at 07.45, which was a plus, and I'm sure it would have been very good, had we... More

Lovely room nice touch having a tea pot in the room rather than just tea bags and cups. Room clean and warm. Hotel is on the high street sadly no parking, but car park nearby. We were lucky to park on the street right outside because we stayed on a Saturday. Breakfast choice is good and the full Welsh was filling... More

Spacious, pleasantly furnished & decorated room at front of building with 2 windows onto delightful main street of Abergavenny. Not quite enough attention paid to keeping room sufficiently comfortable: missing light bulb in desk/dressing table lamp & generally diabolical lighting, no proper over-bath shower - just an old-fashioned hand held unit & a very thin, uncomfortable mattress on the bed... We have been going to the Kings Head for a number of years, but not of late, and have always had good food at a reasonable price. We have quite recently had a little dog,and now when we go out we like to take her. Before going to Abergavenny last saturday,we searched online for Dog Friendly places to eat. The Kings... More
