Spent 5 memorable nights at this lovely hotel and will certainly be recommending it to friends and family who will be visiting the area next year for a family wedding. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, and I want to thank Billy, Tom and for helping with luggage on arrival and departure and for making sure our stay... More

This hotel was in an excellent position for the main shopping area. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable, and the room was nicely decorated, with plenty of lighting and storage space. We only stayed on a Tuesday night, which unfortunately, was the only weeknight that they didn't serve food. However, we found an absolutely amazing... More

We stayed one night as a party of 3 motorcyclists. They moved their car to allow us to lock the bikes in the back yard and couldn't do enough for us. The rooms were well appointed and spacious. Breakfast was also really good. The location is great for the town centre. Even though there was a disco thing going on... More

It was a lovely stay everything... More

7 of us stayed last night as part of a golf trip to Wales. The King's Head provided the perfect base for us and we couldn't fault any aspect of the hotel in any way. A warm welcome from the owners Ken and Ruth and their team and from that moment on they did everything possible to make our stay... More

I took our friends to Abergavenny in Wales as they had not visited the town before. As luck would have it the welsh rugby team where playing an international, so any pub with a TV screen was packed. We were lucky to drop into the Kings head and there was great atmosphere. The food they served was of a good quality... More

Stayed for only 1 night but would definitely stay again if in the area. Room was clean, warm and bed was comfortable. Shower room was small but had everything you need. Food in the evening and at breakfast was very good and the staff were lovely and friendly. Very good value for money.

Went to venue 59 on friday evening was curious about one of the specials, lamb roly poly? After being told by the waiter what it was I then ordered it and was amazed by both presentation and flavours. I was told by the young waiter that the old head chef had returned so we will be definately coming back again... More

Stayed one night - the room was quite basic but had everything needed and it was very clean. Staff were friendly and helpful, dinner was very good and served rapidly at my request. Breakfast was great too. Some reviews seem to criticise pub noises- it's a pub, you'd expect that surely? I'd be happy to visit again.
