Awful place to stay. We got here NYE, the room was awful - dirt and moud on window ledge, cups had not been cleaned properly (still had coffee marks on them, and bits on the edge), wallpaper coming off, more dirt on the wallpaper itself ,our room had a dirty sink in, with the plug broken off??, shared bathroom which... Lunch with my parents aunty and partner was fantastic! Friendly staff!! Great atmosphere in the pub and a really warm decor! Great views across the water and easy walking distance from the castle. We had the burgers which were huge and so tasty. The chips and bacon are the best I've ever tasted!!

We arrived on the coldest night so far with no heating in the room or the bathroom. The double bed was a small double bed with a duvet which barely reached the edges. We slept in our day clothes with jumpers. There was no indication when booking that there was a shared bathroom with other guests and staff. We were... More

My daughter is at Bangor university so this was my first visit down to see her. She wanted to see our dogs so finding a dog friendly hotel nearby was a bit of a challenge. So glad we found this as it was very convenient for driving to and from. Room was spacious, nicely decorated, clean and tidy. We ate in... More

We looked for ages for somewhere affordable by the sea, a proper pub with views of the water, a fire and good rooms. As the pub only has three rooms we weren't too worried about the shared bathroom, although from some of the reviews on here you might think twice. The Anglesey Arms is everything it looks to be on... Stayed for a Saturday night in October 2015 in Caernarfon, the room was very nice, well decorated with a very comfy double bed and plenty of pillows. We stayed in Room 2 which has a view of the castle, the Menai Straits and the swing bridge over the River Seiont. There is a shared bathroom which was very clean and... More

Great stay at this excellent pub/hotel, nice room with clean shared bathroom/shower. Lovely breakfast in the morning from freindly staff, bit of noise from pub below but was quiet after 11.00, maybe on a weekend may be louder? So if your a light sleeper.. Great stay though and would definitely return. Diolch i chi Angelsey arms Caernarfon.

Stayed here for the weekend as we were taking part in the Man Vs Mountain Race. For this the location was 5 star as it's literally about 100m from Caenarfon Castle (start of the race), actually the pubs built coming off the old town/castle walls. That said the room isn't massively secure as its door has a simple lock and... More

Lovely food and location. The Tower Burger was too much to eat, but great. Service was quick although they had a rush on. Friendly service by staff and Gaffer. Clean inside, comfortable seating. Dog friendly. Lovely views outside, but the seagulls can become a nuisance. I recommend this pub to anyone who visits Caernarfon and wants good food.
