Well Faulty Towers was filmed over 35 years ago and yes I found a hotel nesting outside of the walls of the beautiful and imposing walls of Caernarfon Castle as the worse hotel in N.Wales - yes quite possibly the worst hotel in Great Britain. Things did not start well - as I was checking in at 445pm on Saturday... More

Was really looking forward to staying at Anglesey Arms. Good location, good reviews on most sites, staff seemed friendly but sadly found it failing in following area. 1. Was advertised as having parking for guests - this turned out to be about 4 spaces at front - on a first come first serve basis. Pictures on most sites showed rooms... More

Stayed in the so called family room 2adults, 2 teenagers and a friend stayed in room next door with twin beds ( springs) and her daughter. While the pub it's self serves very good breakfast and food. The rooms and shared bathroom are a disgrace . No heating, more dust than a full vacuum, windows that don't close properly and the... More

Stayed here with family for half term. The rooms are ok. They need a deep clean and update. However, they're just for sleeping in really. The shared bathroom could be a pain if more than one family has to complete for it. I found the staff to be friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a bit poor. But plenty of... More

Stayed in the family room for one night. You can't beat the location - the castle is right outside your window - exciting for two aussie boys who haven't seen many old things like this. Also the water is right out the other window. There was a muck up with our booking and the room wasn't ready so we were... More

my husband and I went for a quiet drink at the Anglesey arms the same night as the coke lorry was in town. It was lovely to see how much effort the landlords had put into the evening ..face painting, mince pies, sweets etc..They gave us mulled wine and brought out a lovely selection of cheese and crackers. The ambience... More

The views, setting and position for visiting Caernarfon and Snowdonia from The Anglesey Arms was perfect. Having usually camped as a family of 4, we thought a B & B stay would be a new/ luxurious experience for visiting Snowdonia (2 adults and 2 boys under 8).The breakfast was good, sharing the bathroom is not ideal. Room 1 was the... More

Visited recently with four friends and were embarrassed by what we found. The scroll type menu's were filthy and clearly hadn't be cleaned in a long time. Two burgers that were served were red raw and cold inside - really worrying that! The Barman who described himself as an 'ex-Para from London way' had an attitude that can only be... More
