Where do I start ... from the moment we arrived, jan welcomed us and made us tea and biscuits within her beautiful elevated back garden which had a panoramic view of caernarfon bay and the castle., as we'd had a long journey.she then took us up to our stunning room which was more like a suite within the castle as... Tops in hospitality! Lovely old building, comfortable rooms, convenient to everything, great breakfast, hospitality beyond compare. The free treats (there's a fridge stocked with water, sodas, beer and wine and a table full of goodies) were a much-appreciated touch. The seaside wall is a wonderful place to watch the sunset; the common room is a cozy place for games. The... More

When we arrived at this B&B, the owner told us that there had been a cancellation and she upgraded both our rooms (we were travelling with another couple) to larger rooms - ours was at the front of the house overlooking the street and was just lovely. I thought it was very kind for the owner to give us the... More

Beautiful, clean and quiet location. Comfortable room with a nice bed, a large, modern bathroom and tasteful decoration. The food was excellent and the owner, Jan, was friendly, helpful and attentive. Excellent spot for sightseeing, shopping or just relaxing. Would stay here again and I recommend the Victoria House to anyone wanting to travel to Caernarfon.

Quite easily the best B&B we have stayed in in Wales. Centrally located in Caernarfon in a beautiful street adjacent to the city walls the houses look like period mews houses but are much bigger inside. Our room is large even with the en-suite with views over the city walls and a tower. There is a downstairs lounge with doors... More

My wife and I stayed here for a night as a stopover between Dublin and Betws-y-Coed. We got in super late but Jan was ready and got us all settled in with a warm welcome and recommendations on a late snack since we'd missed our dinner (she offered to make us something but we felt really bad about being so... My husband & I stayed for four nights in June 2014 & it was a pleasure to stay here. Jan & the team are lovely & the b&b is spotlessly clean & the room was spacious & of a very high standard. Whilst a bit worried about the parking, this wasn't an issue as Jan was very informative on best... More

The hospitality and ambience were first rate. My deepest appreciation goes to Jan and her team. The property itself provided a spacious, en suite room and an excellent breakfast. Special feature: a short crossing of a patio and one climbs stairs to the castle parapets. Some back fence. Like so many others, I look forward to staying there again and... More

My wife and I stayed in this B&B in June 2014. We booked via booking.com and stayed for the one evening (on a Friday) as a relative of mine was to be married in a nearby country hotel. On arrival, we were greeted by the Landlady (Jan) who welcomed us with open arms and a drink of our choice. My... More
