This Travelodge is a good place to stay if you journey from Ireland via Holyhead on your way to anywhere in England. It is just off the main A55/A5 junction, relatively easy to find, and has the amenities a tired traveller needs - a reasonable shower (in a bath - so you have the choice) with good hot water and... A great base to explore North Wales. We stayed two nights in a very large room paying just over £20,as we booked on the cheap sale rooms 4 months ago.Very comfortable, average standard room. Not a good view, tatty in places but had much worse at Trav Lodge.Hot water for bath/shower on demand and little multi channel tv.Located at service area so little chef... Stayed for one night prior to a night out in Bangor. Travelodge offers a cheap place to stay with a no frills experience. It's location is not ideal, as Bangor is a £10 taxi trip prior to 00:00, £16-£17 after. As the hotel is attached to a Services, you have the choice of a Burger King or Little Chef which... More

Reception staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. I agree with other reviews this travel lodge is in desperate need of moderisation. However, although it could be updated there are issues with general maintainence. In the room the following needed addressing: toilet didn't work, bathroom covered in long black hairs, shower faulty, only 3 very small pillows totally inadequate, only 1... More

I take on board others reviews but I found the rooms were ok and mine certainly wasn't dirty. It needs modernising and is not the best Travelodge I have stayed in but I cant say anything was bad. The guy at the desk who seemed to be there 24hours a day was friendly and helpful and we had a good... More

We cannot agree with some of the views. Yes, the Travelodge would benefit from a refit, but we found it clean and tidy with friendly staff. Being an older style 'Lodge meant larger bedrooms and bathrooms. Excellent location and value, would use again.

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I tried seven different bedrooms on the night I arrived - the various problems included ripped bed linen, hairs on the surfaces and bedding, broken fixtures and fittings (one bathroom was completely missing a toilet seat lid and another bedroom had a sofa bed that was broken and protruding into... Needed a budget location for 3 nights whilst in the area to visit our daughter. Great location and rooms basic but clean. Bath very small, so uncomfortable unless your a child. Handy service station nearby for snacks etc and has a "Little Chef" and a "Burger King"attached.

This hotel is badly in need of some refurbishment, staff are ok but always look glum but then again it must be a depressing place to work. The only good thing about it is the price as Bangor has limited places to stay for around the prices Travelodge charge. Please someone............. give this place a face lift!!! Also needs sound...
