We stayed at this B&B for one night without having booked anywhere in advance and whilst it was fine for a night we wouldn't really wanted to have stayed longer. We chose a 2nd floor room which had great sea views and waking up to the sound of the ocean was certainly a nice experience, However, it came after waking... more

We rang around a few places while browsing the internet in mid April 09. Belgrave House was selected. We arrived around 20:30hrs and was greeted with a warm smile and friendly staff. The room we picked was a rear one which suited us fine for a 2 day break. Front rooms were available but when studied in daylight the windows... more

On arrival this seemed like a nice little guest house right on the promenade with great views. On first impressions the room was quite good too and we looked forward to a good night's rest. We reckoned however without the local University students who decided to have an all night session on the promenade outside. We got virtually no sleep... more

Not the top of the pile but nonetheless a delightful find. Very friendly and helpful lady who works here. Breakfast room is downstairs in the basement, lounge and bar has a seaview but is relatively small. Many 'mind your head' warnings, small, querky, modern and clean. more

With a taxi driver's help (be sure to use 7's Taxi service - Johnny is the best!), I "stumbled" onto Ty Belgrave House after realizing that my original reservation at another location was inconvenient to the center of town. I looked at several B&B's before deciding on it. What a find! Aberystwyth is one of the most wonderful places in... more

Stayed in room 7 (for 4 persons) and found on arrival that the room (located on very top) contained two warnings about low ceilings (one warning related to bedroom and the second warning related to bathroom). It was a 'stoop your head' room. For Stg130 per night I felt it was expensive. While the room was not spacious (very little... more

Booked Hotel 20 days before staying (family room, sea view). Spoke to Hotel half an hour before arriving no probs. Problems started on arrival, Booked family room unavailable, previous tenant had decided to stay another night, offered basement room, no view at all. Tiny room, staff apologetic but unable to offer alternative. Price was reduced but not enough and too... more

We stayed in a room with a beautiful sea view, nicely decorated, but too small to justify the price and description as a "double room". I opened what I thought would be the sliding door to a wardrobe at the side of the bed and found it opened onto a tiny toilet/shower cubicle - not the nicest position for a... more

A modern and clean guest house. Stayed in room 3 (single) which is a good size for a single. No view (just over the back yard) but a big window. Breakfast was good and was served up early for me as I needed to be on site early. more
