This enchanting Edwardian hostelry has an enviable position and charmed us with its traditional appearance and family-based service. We really enjoyed staying at the Hafod. The family and staff put a lot of effort into making sure guests are comfortable and the service is friendly and efficient. To sum up it up in one word this hotel is 'tired'. Stayed in the hotel in 2007 so we went back knowing the beautiful location. Coincidentally we stayed in the same room and were disappointed there was no change in the decor and facilities. We can't comment on other rooms though. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and althougth the decor might be called dated, this is rural Wales and the rooms reflect the area, which is what i like, If you want bland corporate then stay in a travel lodge.
