Stayed here for two nights. Great location, situated just around the corner from the beach & shops. Top floors of a converted semi-detached with a laundrette on the ground floor sharing the entrance. Comfortable room with dated but clean decoration. Did not have en-suite (new this) so had to share one shower room & WC with other residents. Shared kitchen... More

this is an unusual place, for a start it doesn't do breakfast. The ground floor is a large lounge and kitchen which is available to anyone staying here, the first floor is a few bedrooms which share a bathroom, then the top floor is a lovely double room with en suite - which I had. The house has just been... More

This was a really pleasant surprise. I booked at 24 hours notice and was offered a room for £35. Breakfast is not included but I understood this and at the rate offered, I was absolutely fine with this. Anyway, Maes-Y-Mor is so well located at the heart of Aberystwyth that there are eateries around every corner. The bedroom and communal... More

Booked the the Maes Y Mor for my son and family to stay in to celebrate a family birthday, could not have been more delighted. The communication from staff was first class and most welcoming. The Maes Y Mor lists itself as a hostel but it's much much more. Location is central with free parking which as a resident of... More

What a great surprise we had at Maes Y Mor. We booked quite late on, and as it turned out for graduation weekend, so our options were limited and expensive. Maes Y Mor offered the best value room we could find, and goodness what we got for our money! We turned up at about 9pm on Friday evening and received... More

Stayed at Maes y Mor during our daughter's graduation. We were upgraded to the new 5* rooms next door. Absolutely beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The facilities are excellent and the position in Aberystwyth is perfect for seeing everything. We will be back.

Love this place! Very central, right around the corner from the sea. Super comfy beds in cosy smart rooms. No breakfast though a very clean and tidy well equipped kitchen- a pizza wheel seems all that's missing! was impressed the first time I stayed here and impressed again thanks!

If you don't mind sharing a bathroom and kitchen then definitely stay here if you are in Aberystwyth. It's no surprise that this slightly quirky place stays in business as the owners are friendly, flexible and the place is kept in a spotlessly clean condition. Comfortable beds and good showers.

We stayed in the relatively new house next door, which is furnished beautifully. Kitchen was chockful with pretty much everything you need should you need to cook. There are also laundry facilities if needed. The landlady also sourced us a cot for our use and helped assemble it herself. Location was perfect for a short walk to the lovely seaside.... More

Me and my friend stayed here for one night in the twin bedroom, sharing a bathroom with other guests. Our room was really nicely decorated, bright colours and modern with a large window overlooking the road in front. The room was spotless and the bathroom was also clean. The beds in our room were very comfortable and there was no... More
