We stayed as part of a group. Clean, tidy, shared bathrooms unfortunately but otherwise all facility's. TV, tea coffee facilities. Fairly central for amenity's in the town set just one road back from the sea. Private parking at rear. Average small guest house. No breakfast.

As the old saying goes, "you get what you pay for", but in this instance it's probably fairer to say that Maes-Y-Mor is actually good value for money, because for £23pppn plus £5 for a breakfast in one of the nearby cafes you can't beat this kind of value. The rooms were fine and the beds were comfortable. If you... More

You told us you were arriving no later than 9pm, then I received another text saying you were arriving at 11pm or maybe later. I did explain to you the policy on booking.com does state last check in at 9.30 and within my right not to accept the booking. We are a small business and open from 8am to 9.30pm... More

Stumbled upon this delightful property by default, after being let down by the hotel that my friend & I have stayed in for the last 5 years, booking same room & dates for following year on our departure. Found out only a few days before we due to arrive that there was no record of our booking for this year,... More

The information on the website for this accommodation really doesn't do it justice. The location is fantastic, couldn't be more convenient for accessing all Aberystwyth has to offer. We were a party of 3 and had the family room. It had a spotless en suite, tv, and tea and coffee facilities. for the price we were expecting a bed and... More

Stayed here for two nights. Great location, situated just around the corner from the beach & shops. Top floors of a converted semi-detached with a laundrette on the ground floor sharing the entrance. Comfortable room with dated but clean decoration. Did not have en-suite (new this) so had to share one shower room & WC with other residents. Shared kitchen... More

this is an unusual place, for a start it doesn't do breakfast. The ground floor is a large lounge and kitchen which is available to anyone staying here, the first floor is a few bedrooms which share a bathroom, then the top floor is a lovely double room with en suite - which I had. The house has just been... More

This was a really pleasant surprise. I booked at 24 hours notice and was offered a room for £35. Breakfast is not included but I understood this and at the rate offered, I was absolutely fine with this. Anyway, Maes-Y-Mor is so well located at the heart of Aberystwyth that there are eateries around every corner. The bedroom and communal... More

Booked the the Maes Y Mor for my son and family to stay in to celebrate a family birthday, could not have been more delighted. The communication from staff was first class and most welcoming. The Maes Y Mor lists itself as a hostel but it's much much more. Location is central with free parking which as a resident of... More

What a great surprise we had at Maes Y Mor. We booked quite late on, and as it turned out for graduation weekend, so our options were limited and expensive. Maes Y Mor offered the best value room we could find, and goodness what we got for our money! We turned up at about 9pm on Friday evening and received... More
