The Hotel is beautifully situated and looks lovely from the outside, however, on entering one can see that it is need of refurbishment to haul it kicking and screaming out of the '70's! We were greeted by a rather indifferent Reception Staff member who informed us that our rooms were on an upper floor and there was no lift. There... more

I booked this hotel because of it's location, right on the A449 which made it very easy for a business trip that I had to attend. The hotel in well placed with fantastic views of the Malverns on one side and even better views of the sunrise over the east on the other side. My room was large and well... more

We stayed for 3 night New Year break with my sister and brother in law. Food was excellent, evening was great, staff very friendly and rooms large. Some refurbishment needed in places but it is 200 years old next year so expect atmosphere rather than all mod cons. Shame there weren't more taking the whole break, it would have added... more

I know Malvern well and picked the Foley for the very central location and good parking. It used to be AA rated and with a rosette for the restaurant - it appears to no longer have either. The public rooms are lovely, my bedroom was well equipped and nicely decorated but the bathroom was very tired: pink gloss and flowery... more

I stayed at the hotel to be close to my father who was very ill and died after a few days of my arrival. During my whole stay - and subsequent return for the funeral - the staff were friendly and very very helpful at all times. The rooms are a pleasure after having spent time in so many "same... more

Like a favourite pair of gloves this lovely old English town hotel is familiar and comfortable. Professionally run by the same team for many years the hotel has a deeply satisfying atmosphere and is always a relaxing place to stay (this was my third visit over the last ten years). The restaurant is quaint and the food solidly "nouveau English".... more

I recently stayed at this hotel and I have to say it was pretty awful. The room I was in was quite large with a huge bed and gorgeous views over the hills, however I don't think it has had any refurbishment for about 50 years, the curtains were faded, the carpet had some dodgy stains on it and the... more

I stayed at this hotel on the night of Saturday May 28th 2005 in Room 11. The room was dingy and smelled unpleasant. The reason was found to be that there was the lack of ventilation in the room, there was no air conditioning and the bedroom window did not open. Guests were instructed on a notice stuck to the... more

Run down, over priced , cramped rooms, dirty carpets, uncomfortable beds, tiny bathrooms which were in need of modernisation. A hotel trading on the fact it over looks the malvern hills but the windows in most rooms are so small it is wasted. Stay well away from this one if you like your hotels clean, comfortable with friendly staff because this... more
