A really friendly lady greeted us, showed us to our room, served us in the bar later (and was really accommodating, letting our family use the facilities even though they were not staying) and also made us a fantastic full english the following morning - it turned out that she had been running it herself that week as her business... On arrival we recieved a very warm welcome, nothing was too much trouble. The room was freshly referbished, clean and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was very good and the service was excellent. Good value for money. Will definatly visit again soon.

This is THE Great Worcester find. A 10 minute stroll to the centre of Worcester and a lovely greeting from Trish the attentive and humerous Irish Receptionist/Cook/Housekeeper/Barperson etc on return. Didn't start off too well here. First room offered had a curtain rail that had fallen out of the wall. Changed with no problem and the second room was much nicer although on the top floor (view of the cathedral made up for walking the four flights of stairs!) Third visit, Great Hotel, Fantastic staff nothing to much trouble for them. We are looking forward to another in December. Good value for money just a short walk to City Centre.

To start with the location isn't great, however the service we received by the staff was excellent. The staff were friendly, polite and helpful. basic adequate if rather shabby hotel with an exceptionally pleasant manager (compare him to the obnoxious manager at the Fownes and he practically achieves sainthood). Unlike the Fownes what you see is what you pay and unlike the Fownes it does not pretend to be a top notch establishment.

Stayed here two nights as needed to be handy for the station, which it is. Room was quite spacious, and clean as was the en-suite.
