My daughter and I stayed one night at this hotel. She had a very nice, large room with fantastic views of the countryside. Mine was at the front of the hotel, and there was some traffic noise. However, both rooms were very good. The bed was firm. We also had a nice meal downstairs in the bar. We were made... More

We have stayed here before several times and even in the same room. Admittedly it was fairly soon after it had been taken over by Wetherspoons and renovated. I will never stay here again! General wear and tear is to be expected and forgiven but dirt is not! I'd be surprised if the carpet had seen a vacuum cleaner or... More

I was truly disappointed in this establishment on this visit after having made previously very enjoyable visits – the first was in May 2011, shortly after the hotel had been acquired and renovated by Wetherspoons. (I gave the hotel a very good TripAdvisor review at that time.) On this latest visit our room was filthy. The worst things were hairs... More

Stayed her for one night in June with my husband for a show we were going to. The rooms are lovely. Food great and we ate on the terrace as it was a lovely warm night! Shame that it doesn't have proper parking!!! Staff were helpful and friendly.

Nice room, good pub, only problem was a very noisy extractor fan going most of the night just under bedroom windows. Not enough staff to cope with the large number of people for breakfast. Reception woman had to come to mend electric kettle.

Just returned from a weekend stay at the Foley Arms with nothing but praise for the generosity and hospitality shown by staff principally. They without exception were service oriented to the highest degree throughout our stay. An example of this was demonstrated after a conversation with a member of staff after our 1st night. We had booked a double for... More

We visited the Foley Arms to enjoy a few drinks and quick snack one hot and sunny Saturday afternoon, and were delighted to find the terrace out back. It's a generous size with the perfect view down over the surrounding countryside. It has a peaceful chilled out vibe, and is great place to hang out and soak up some rays... More

stayed here for one night. had the family room which cost £69. It was spacious and very comfortable with a fabulous view. I didn't park in their car park as it meant driving down a steep hill first and then round the corner and I didn't fancy the steep decline. As I arrived quite late at night, I parked down... More

This is an old coaching inn so don't expect modern five star facilities. Our two night stay was pleasant with a view from our comfortable room at the back. Don't be confused by the fact that the hotel part (reception) is upstairs from the pub, which has the usual Wetherspoons attributes including good breakfasts at a good price. Terrace at... More
