We have now stayed here twice and love the venue in beautiful Malvern. The staff responded to our request for a quiet room and we have enjoyed the same room each time -right at the top of the building, quaint and unique. Staff are helpful and welcoming. The hotel is large with huge sofas and expansive areas to sit in.... More

My husband and I spent 2 nights here in April. The location is amazing; right next to the Abbey, which is beautiful and well worth a visit! Arrival was fine with easy check-in. The room itself was in the 'new' part of the hotel which was ok. Accessing the room took you up and down sets of stairs! The room... More

A hotel that represents an attractive town well. Excellent position for town centre and hills. Attractive and distinct reception, and efficient, if a little punctilious, service. Well appointed and with excellent views, as well as distinctive rooms. Distinguished conference rooms. A chain group, but retains an individuality.

Just returned from my fourth trip to this hotel. The location is perfect - just at the foot of the Malvern Hills. Friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. Menu in the restaurant could do with more variety, but breakfast buffet excellent. The bar area is a good space to relax and meet friends. Will definitely be back!

Charming exterior hids consistent under investment in rooms and facilities - amazing it has hoodwinked it way to 4 stars, only possible in a small town with limited choice. Avoid until you're looking for an average experience from the 1960s.

Dear John S Thank you for your recent review. I am sorry you found the rooms and facilities did not meet you expectations of a four star hotel. I would like to take this opportunity to reassure you that there was no hoodwinking in our being awarded four stars from the AA. To achieve and keep our four star status... More

For exploring the Malvern Hills, the Abbey is perfect. We were in room 407 and it has a lovely view. However, it needs new windows! The old 1960's building windows just don't work. Breakfast buffet is wonderful with a fruit / cereal bar along with the usual hot items. The bar is a good place to meet friends. Service throughout... More

We chose the Abbey mainly because of the reviews on Tripadvisor, what a mistake. It was booked at short notice and I thought £150 was a bit expensive even for a decent hotel. For a very poor hotel it was a complete rip-off. From the outside, the hotel looks grand, especially witht the Abbey in very close proximity. We arrived... More

Dear celtic59 Thank you for your recent review. I am sorry you did not enjoy your stay as much as you or I would have liked. Our reception area should be manned appropriately, so our guests are not kept waiting while others are being dealt with. I am sorry this was not the case when you arrived at the hotel.... More

Dated, but in a good way..welcoming staff, stooped in tradition, big colourful symmetrical carpets in the corridors which I kind of like....done very well. Bedroom very comfortable I had 412.... Spacious, clean and comfy bed. Breakfast was good but I was in a rush to enjoy it, the coffee was good and strong Thanks for a comfortable stay

My husband and I took advantage of the DB&B deal at this wonderful Hotel. Our only problem was finding Reception from the car park as the signage is not clear. However, the Receptionist was friendly and efficient, our room was a reasonable size with a large comfortable bed and a spacious bathroom with shower/bath. No problems with our water pressure....
