Spent a night here on our trip to the RHS Malvern show. The hotel is situated centrally within the town and right next to the Abbey (as the name implies). The hotel has a mix of old and new(ish) buildings - we stayed in a newer part of the hotel. Staff were friendly and very helpful and checking was fast... More

We stayed at this hotel after being round the Morgan factory tour. The hotel is in a lovely setting by the abbey and in the town. We only stayed 1 night In room 116 which was modern clean and bright, we had full English breakfast and this was very good. The staff were friendly and helpful we would stay again... More

Thank heavens the wedding itself was so wonderful but to be honest not the service or thecquality I would expect from a £100 a night hotel. Definately not 4 star. food was dreadful with no vegetarian option available despite having sent details well in advance of the event. some of tge staff were extremely rude and curt. I felt the... My wife and I have just returned from a dance holiday, organised by The Dance Mavericks, at this hotel. We had a double room which was spacious, comfortable and, thanks to Emma, spotlessly clean. Our Emperor(!?) sized bed was so big that I lost my petite wife for several minutes, I discovered her in a snug corner reading a paperback... More

The hotel is a fitting tribute to the old world charm that is Great Malvern, surrounded by the Abbey etc. The gothic charm of the hotel adds to it's cosiness, if not the most up to date and swankiest hotel out there........Yes, the public area could do with a light refurb and freshening up, but to focus on that is... Beautiful hotel very centrally placed for access to the Malvern Theatre, although very steep short walk. Shame there is no access from the lower car park to Theatre. Beware of the afternoon teas - they are too good. Do visit the nearby Priory and Museum.

I had booked the Abbey two months in advance because it was very near the venue of a wedding I was going to. I reviewed a call from the website through whom I had booked the day before I was due to stay to tell me that the Abbey had cancelled my reservation because they were full. I couldn't believe... We have recently spent a five day break at The Abbey, when we formed part of a coach party. On arrival we received a very warm welcome and were pleasantly surprised by the first impressions of this hotel. It has old world charm whilst offering all the comforts we have come to expect from a modern hotel. Our room was... More
