approach is via a narrow short one track drive winding its way through hedge lined lawns past the little hotel into the car park which is within a few strides from the front door. Passing through a brightly lit sitting room into the hallway where we were met by the proprietor. Very friendly, quickly booked in and shown upstairs to... More

My wife and myself stayed here and we were made extremely welcome. The room was a good size and the chairs and bed comfy. We ate in one night andthe food was excellent. The breakfast freshly cooked and nice. The owners very nice people and we will return again soon

We recently stayed here, the weekend before Christmas, and from the moment we arrived Julie and Steve made us feel so very welcome. We were a large family group and as we were the only ones staying, it made the whole experience that extra special for us all. The children loved the hosts, and it was so lovely for them... More

We were visiting our daughter we discovered ths little hotel through Booking.com good room rate available. As always we checked TripAdvisor for reviews! On arriving we saw the hotel down a well lit wooded driveway; easy parking at front of hotel. Well signed reception and bell! Pressing bell we met Steve the owner who made us feel very welcome. Inside... More

We have just come home from my second visit to this absolute gem and I cannot wait to return!! We took over the hotel for my Dad's 70th birthday party and have had absolutely the best time. The owners are lovely -incredibly helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are spacious, bright and very pretty and full of... More

The people who rate this hotel four or five star obviously didn't stay in the room I stayed in. The owners are welcoming and helpful but that's about the best I can say about this hotel. I was totally put off by the grubby carpets throughout which I could just about tolerate in an old hotel if they didn't extend... More

To our surprise this hotel merits only 2 AA stars. We stayed for two nights in mid-August, were very warmly received by Steve and shown to our bedroom, which had a great view over the farm next door and out to the Malvern Hills. The room was small and cottage-y - but this is a 17th century cottage after all.... More

Went on voucher and discovered owners will give you the best room they are able to despite that. Many thanks. Enjoyed our Monday/Tuesday night at this well organised small friendly hotel, the main body of which is 270 years old. Comfortable bed with lovely linen. Very clean room in a quiet country area, Sheep were in the field next door... More

My wife and I stayed here recently to celebrate a special birthday. We loved this hotel. When we booked, the owners were away on holiday, but were replaced by a very helpful and competent manager who listened to our needs sympathetically ( my wife is disabled) and organised a very suitable room for our needs. When we arrived the owners... More

From the moment we booked our wedding reception at the Holdfast, Steve and Julie were wonderful. They made sure that there would be rooms available for our friends and family to stay in, provided a tailor made menu for our wedding breakfast and evening buffet, and organised a Pimms reception which was perfect for a summers afternoon. Even though we... More
