My wife and I have been returning annually to Broadway for many years and always visit the Crown & Trumpet. The food and hospitality and beer has always been second to none. Definitely the best pub in Broadway and in our opinion we have never found a better one in the UK. Already looking forward to our next visit.

What a ridiculous farce. I sent my dinner back as the meat was too tough to get a knife through. I was polite, & explained to the waitress why I felt it was inedible. She took it without a word, then carried on serving others . After a while I said excuse me - what's happening , & was told... More

I had to intervene when I noticed that one of the girls was very upset. It was because you were so rude to her that she had to go outside for a while to compose herself before being able to carry on. You must have felt very gratified that as you say in your review that you made her cry... More

Wanted a quaint Cotsworld Pub and that's what we got. Great hospitality and the bed, albeit very high off the ground, was extremely comfortable. The room a decent size. It was located at the front over the bar so on a hot summer's evening it could get noisy I guess. The bathroom was tiny, but a good shower, washbasin and... More

This was not our first choice for lunch as family members wished to go somewhere else but wow, I am so pleased we couldn't get into that other price which looked both sanitised and over-priced and came to the Crown and Trumpet instead! Firstly, if you're an ale drinker then this is the pub for you. The choice of beer... More

Ate here twice whilst staying in Broadway and both times the food was excellent. First time we had the steak deal - big portion and loads of extras - and steak and kidney pie, also very good. Excellent atmosphere and very friendly. Second visit we had steak again, and chilli. Again really good. This visit we also had live jazz... More

After checking the pub out on trip advisor- we were not disappointed. A classic country pub in a beautiful village. Hospitality and service were very good and the lunch portions were generous and good value. Would definitely recommend and return. Ps the selection of ales were excellent.

Our Niece lives in Childswickham and loves this pub. It has character & charm and is a proper public house. We ate here the last 2 Saturday's and found the food to be excellent. You can tell that it's home cooked and not mass produced. The lasagne was gorgeous, and I am told that the faggots were too. Would recommend... More

Booked a table here for Friday night and so glad we did as this pub is very popular and busy. Traditional menu which is what we prefer rather than silly bits of Rocket lettuce and Goats cheese. A very nice welcome by friendly and jovial staff is always a great start. Shared several laughs with young guy (member of staff)... More

We stayed 2 nights over the weekend, the selection of real ales were kept well we had several goods pints. The food was traditional pub food and all home made, it was delicious but very portion controlled, if you like a good meal get side orders. Even as a resident of the pub you can not put anything on the... More

On our first visit to Broadway we looked out the Crown and Trumpet for a lunchtime stop A good selection of real ales and ciders left us spoilt for choice, and we sat and basked outside as we took in the great surroundings. I had a very nice pint of Tom Long from the Stroud brewery A real pub -... More
