It couldn't be more typically English with rustic fireplaces, wooden beams and exposed brick everywhere. Lots of nooks and crannys to explore in the 16th century part of the hotel and much opportunity for a degree of privacy if you are fortunate enough to get first choice on where you sit. The staff are very good and the food was... More

Stayed for two nights (using Tesco vouchers to pay for the stay, which is a great way of getting a good deal). We requested, and got, a room in the old part of the hotel, and upgraded to a suite for the extra room. It was very quaint - rickety, uneven stairs, massive wooden doors, beams, etc. just what you'd... More

Broadway is picture perfect - and the Lygon Arms fits right in (architecturally) - but the new wing rooms are a little too Holiday Inn-ish for my taste. Yes, they are clean, with standard amenities (but no clock).... they just feel a too contemporary - not in keeping with the rest of the historic hotel. Mattress was fair - my... More

Would definitely recommend this great hotel in the heart of the Cotswolds. We used the swimming pool and spa which was included in the room tarrif. Well worth doing that as there is a huge jacuzzi and steam room and the pool is wonderfully warm. The oldest part of the hotel was built when Henry VIII was on the throne... More

We've just completed our 4th stay in two years and will be back to use the hotel as a base for exploring the region. My wife and I have visited on our own twice and with my in-laws twice. we've tried Standard and Premium rooms and Suites and enjoyed them all. We've not stayed in any rooms in the original... More

The location is fabulous - right on the high street. The original building dates back to Henry viii and the stone and beamed building is delightful. I was in one of the annexes, a more modern addition. The room was more than adequate in size, was clean and in pretty good decorative condition, as was the bathroom. The bed and... More

This is a stunning hotel in a typical picture postcard Cotswold village. We stayed two nights in a cottage in the well maintained garden and the room was perfect on every level; cleaned to an excellent standard, large comfortable bed, comfy sofa and chairs and a great sized bathroom. Nice coffee / tea making facilities in the room too. We... More

Our company have just had a 2 day conference at the Lygon Arms - the second in 2 years at this lovely traditional and well run hotel. The Lygon Arms performed well again and I might even say even better than the previous time. Co-ordination of the event was well managed and the service, staff, food and other arrangements were... Broadway is a charming village. The upmarket hotel is centrally located and well appointed with beautiful, large rooms and facilities such as a pool/spa. Staff were friendly although the poor English of the restaurant staff made food ordering an adventure. Breakfast was superb.

Just stayed two nights with the old Tesco Vouchers footing the bill which gives you `Bed and Breakfast ` and basic rooms, we also had a dog ( extra £15 a night ) which usually means you don`t get the best room. Having seen a few reviews about refurbished and not refurbished rooms we were a bit nervous and I... More
