my wife and I stayed for a weekend with breakfast and dinner included, in the "penthouse suite" room. the hotel was very relaxed and comfortable, the staff were generally excellent, if a little formal. our room was lovely, well equipped and peaceful too - though the stairs up to the room would be difficult for young or elderly to navigate.... Our 6th visit to Dormy, but the last one was about 5 years ago, so a lot can change. The changes are fortunately only cosmetic, updated lounges, bedrooms etc. Some things fortunately have stayed the same - an understated relaxed hotel delivering good food and hospitality - no stuffy pretence here. It is not the finest dining in the world,... More

The tourist information bureau in Chipping Camden were very helpful and sent us to the Dormy, who gave us a special rate of £180 including dinner, room and breakfast. The Dormy has far reaching views of the cotswolds and is in a quiet location. It has it's roots in the 13th century with carved panels and well worn flagstones in... More

Our room was the penthouse suite, its a spacious contemporary room with a really comfy bed.Our meal in the barn owl brasserie was as good as the previous one there and the staff are always pleasant and helpful. An enjoyable stay.The... We are a family of 4 that attended a weding on the 5th of May and have to say that the whole experience was excellent. We had a little trouble finding Dormy House at first due to entering the wrong code in the satnav and ended up driving down Broadway High street which I'm glad we did as the houses... More

This was a reunion group that stayed at the Dormy House Hotel. They coped excellently with 60+ of us. The weather was cold and miserable with heavy showers, but the hotel was warm and welcoming. The steam room was a bonus.

I have just been treated to a delightful afternoon tea by friends at The Dormy House Hotel. We chose one of the lounges and sat at a lovely round table, in a bay window with a roaring log fire just across the room, bliss. There is a great choice for tea and we had sandwiches (crusts cut off!), home made cake... Firstly, I have to say that I should have really liked this hotel. This style of hotel is just my cup of tea but Dormy House didn't really do it for me. Compared to what I expected and to other properties of a similar ilk it just didn't cut the mustard. In terms of my disappointments they were as follows:... More

There are plenty of good points about this hotel but overall there was something missing for me on the charm front. We had one of the cheaper rooms, which was on the small side, but it had everything you needed, a comfy bed, a pleasant mix of contemporary decor with olde worlde beams, was very clean, a very modern bathroom,...
