“Dreadful Bed and Breakfast”

The previous reviewers must have been staying somewhere else! Our room was freezing on arrrival, with an en-suite electric shower that simply did not work. The towels were once white and were damp. Breakfast was revolting and quite inedible - I even found mould on my marmalade. At £80 for a double room we felt totally ripped off!

We unexpectedly turned up with a large trailer containing house moving remnants. The owner immediately accepted that it was going to be at the front of the property for a few days but didn't complain. I stayed at Brook House with my other half and a couple of friends for a weekend break. We had left it very late to book a table at a restaurant for the Satruday evening, but Marianne the owner was very helpful and booked us in at a restaurant she recommended. We arrived at the B&B without knowing what to expect but the owner, the wonderful Marianne Thomas made us feel at home from the start. She recommended and booked for us a fantastic restaurant for the evening (not easy as most of the town was booked up!) and was prompt to answer any questions we had, especially when we wanted...
