The hotel was ok...The thing that gave the hotel a warmth and homely environment is the lovely girl sitting at the reception...Thanks to the lady to make me feel soo comfortable...Her welcoming behaviour is a compensation for the bad condition of the hotel...Please take the hotel seriously....

I booked 2 rooms at Oscar Lodge because it was for one night, 10 minutes away from the centre of Windsor and cheap. I wished I had looked on trip advisor first . The saying goes you get what you pay for, but for £65 a night per room without brekfast, I expected the place to be clean!!!!! The rooms... More

Located in Central Windsor, very friendly and helpful family business, car parking available via phone or email, nice rooms, reasonable sized shower and toilet facilities, kettle, tea, coffee, milk etc supplied, breakfast if ordered the night before, aging rooms but clean and tidy, only thing we missed was a little fridge.

Not too badly priced until you see what you get. Good location not matched by the rooms, which smelled of mould and were shabbily furnished, with door handles hanging off, windows broken and the beds lumpy. Tatty, surly-toned notices are stuck to walls and doors and the proprietor demanded we first pay then sign some damage agreement before we got... More

This was one of the worst B and B's I have stayed in, from the reception staff, who were unsure to what they were doing, through the "tired" decor, the dirty sheets and the hair in the shower to the insufficient "continental", make it yourself breakfast, consisting of boxed cereal, bread, tea and pain au chocolat, served on torn-off J-cloths.... When staying here, guests should be realistic. Yes, it is not a 5* experience, but neither is it priced like one. As to whether I would recommend it, as other reviewers have commented, it depends entirely on the purpose of the visit. For a family holiday no, as a base in the town after a night out, yes. However, that... More

My friends and I felt the desire to extract ourselves from the hustle and bustle of the Big City, and were delighted to stumble upon the hospitable establishment that is Oscar's Lodge. Clean, spacious room and incredibly close to the centre of Windsor. The Ritz Hotel it is not, it is more reminiscent of the eponymous cracker; simple, moisture-free and... More

As others have said on here you have to be realistic. Windsor has to be one of the most expensive towns in the UK. I was going on a works night out and only spent 6 hours in the room, why pay more? Anything else in Windsor was at least 3 times the price. Parking is free, its 10 minutes... More

Turned up and the place looked dirty from the word go, on navigating the stair there was paint peeling off the walls in huge 2ft sections...even the paint was trying to leave this place!! the room was TINY and the stains on the ceiling were horrific, as though farm yard animals had been urinating in the room above me, the...
