Had Champagne Afternoon tea, the restaurant manager can't recollect his name but the asian looking guy gave us a great service. I had afternoon tea at the Harte and Garte on Tuesday and it was totally underwhelming. The sandwich filling was totally inferior, no meat and not fresh. Pastries were pre-packed variety. We were almost alone in the bar area but not once did a member of staff approach to ask if everything was ok. We will not be back.

Booked a weekend break in this hotel. Accommodation excellent and breakfasts good. But it is the location which is so convenient opposite the castle which really won us over.
