Surprisingly good small double room, clean and cosy however room 23 is next to a very busy corridor (very thin walls) and the ancient plumbing sounds like a pneumatic drill at times. So don't stay here if you want to lie-in or an early night, otherwise very reasonable and close to Windsor 'old town'. I was going to rate it... More

Stayed over night at the Adelaide in Windsor. We had a very friendly welcome from the lovely receptionist. The room was a good size with all that we needed. The hotel is an excellent location for exploring Windsor's mhistoric attractions and many bars and restaurants. Breakfast was fine with good food. Our staff memeber was quite frosty when we asked... We went away for a romantic weekend in Windsor. The reception staff were great: helpful and accommodating. The hotel seemed empty but we were placed at the far end on the 2nd floor in a room which time had forgotten as it was quite dated and colder in the room than it was outside. Despite the best efforts of the... More

A good starting point for walking in Windsor Great Park is having breakfast at the Royal Adelaide. Out of peak season you can part in the hotel car park which is a great asset with such limited street parking in the town. Breakfast buffet is small but high quality - the fresh fruit was delicious and the eggs Benedict were... More

Our group of 8 had a great night out in Windsor just prior to Christmas after spending a lazy afternoon in the small bar at the Adelaide, which was cozy and relaxing - just the ticket. The hotel is dated away from the Reception areas, not really represented by the website pictures, but our room was clean and toiletries &... More

Just had 2 days of partying at the hotel - we asked for a lot and they delivered it! Nothing was too much trouble and the specific menu we asked for was followed to a 'T'. We took over the hotel using it in a house party way and all 30 of us had a wonderful time. Being in the... More

This hotel was built as a house for Queen Adelaide , and has been converted into a comfortable hotel, in a very central spot . We stayed from Christmas Day to Boxing Day , in order to visit relatives close by . A very good experience : our room had a wide view of Windsor Castle , and was comfortable... More

I chose the Royal Adelaide because I needed a convenient 'hub' to stay in when hurtling in and out of Heathrow, but didn't want to stay in one of the faceless and over-priced Heathrow hotels. The Adelaide is just 15 minutes (on a good run) from the airport and is wonderful! It's a complete break from chain hotels and has... More

Pros: Great location, friendly staff, decent water pressure in the shower Cons: Tiny room, even tinier shower, lumpy old mattresses, broken furniture and loads of noise, really mediocre breakfast, expensive

We found this hotel very disappointing as our room was noisy , cold and full of dust , toilet was hard to flush . The staff were unfriendly , went for breakfast and just felt that we were in the way , had to ask for toast and coffee , only to hear the staff comment only 7 mins to... More
