It was the worst place I have ever stayed in it was smelly, dirty, uncooked food dining area was like sitting in a motorway cafe with plastic chairs that were also very dirty, basic food and a very rude manager. Not surprised it's up for sale.

When we booked at this place we thought we were going to stay in a normal/usual UK type B&B. Regrettably we were a bit disappointed since the place is not actually inhabited by the owners. It is more of an independent guest house monitored by cameras when no one is present on site. A commercial managed approach rather than a... More

Nice b&b in a great location. Good value for money - always great service from Stuart and a fabulous breakfast. Easy walking distance from centre of Windsor. Told it is going to close which is a real shame.

Myself and my husband stayed here for 2 nights. Rooms are quite a nice size and the bathrooms are a good size to be able to move around in. We had a room at the front of the house but it was very quiet at night. We had a fabulous welcome from Stuart and nothing is too much trouble for... More

As the title suggests, second time we have stayed here, have been back this year with our two young children. Rooms are very large with full size bunkbeds and a Kingsize double. Rooms are clean and bright. We like the fact that you are not on a clock for check in and check out. After a full day at LEGOLAND... More

This is one of the few places to stay in Windsor where the prices are reasonable, £70 a night in my case. Stuart was very reasonable and unbureaucratic to deal with. I made my reservation over the phone while on a coach to Barcelona airport, and he treated me as areasonable customer, unlike certain hotel chains. The room was fine... More

Me and my partner stayed here over the August Bank Holiday weekend. There are many good things about the B&B: location, breakfast, quiet at night, clean sheets, hot shower. However there is a lack of attention to details which I found a little off for the price. There were huge cracks down the ceiling in our bedroom, the walls and... More

We spent 7 days here over two weeks and love the location, food and friendliness of Stuart! We could walk to the town center in 10 minutes where there is much to do. The Great Park is about a 5 minute walk, 2 minute jog. With the cool weather this park is great place to go running, walking, relaxing! The... More

We stayed at Frances Lodge for 3 nights and had a nice comfortable stay. Small room but comfy. Great breakfasts on offer too. It's a good 15 minute walk from the centre of town. Stuart greeted us at the door, what a fun guy he is too. He was so helpful and very informative about the area. He even arranged... More

Myself and a friend stayed at Frances Lodge last weekend, I called the day before to check I could park my car there before we checked in as we would arrive early. Upon arrival Stuart met us and had the room ready for us to be able to leave our bags. We stayed in a twin room which was perfect,... More
