Lovely place to stay, great value for money and very central to Eton and Windsor. English breakfast is extra but the continental breakfast is included and is brilliant, along with the service. Would definitely stay again. Special mention to Zoe in the bar, she is an asset to the hotel, very friendly, welcoming, lovely person

Stayed as a stop over on the way to and from Somerset. Got a standard double on the way out and it was just that In Room 4. Very tired bathroom with an extremely uncomfortable bed and poor quality pillows, but I think it was bad luck on the room is all. We got the king size on the way... More

Friendly enough staff, Live in Slough went for meal in Windsor, pre dinner drinks. Absolutly fine, returned after meal for drinks, will return again. Eton is not somewhere that interests me so to have somewhere to have a pleasant evenings drinks, was good.

Typical little old English Pub, rooms small but quite adequate, and as you would expect from something so old. Recently renovated, I think. Staff were friendly, helped me get my luggage up the tiny, windy stairs, and gave advice on the local area. Good bar food, nice atmosphere. Location is great, just over the bridge into Windsor, with both rail... More

I wasn't sure at first if I was reviewing the right place after reading that the rooms were spacious, we had the world smallest room, to the point where if I opened the bathroom door I trapped the other person in the room behind it and the same when opening the actual door onto the landing! Maybe they do have... More

We were here 2 nights, and had a great stay. We arrived very early, about 9 am and the door to the pub was locked (obviously, we were way too early for check-in). However, we were let in and allowed to drop off our luggage. Returning later, we were checked in and shown to our room, #1. It was perfect... More

We stayed here for two nights in one of the 'compact' double rooms. It was quite small, but being used to normally sleeping in our motorhome it was more than adequate in our opinion. The shower-room was clean, as was the bedroom, plenty of hot water, hospitality tray and hairdryer as you would expect. The pub was great, not too... More

It's all been said before but the location is great for Windsor (and they have a car park) and yes there was some noises which you get in old buildings and on night one (a Monday) the darts team downstairs were having great fun but the staff were great as was the breakfast (£5 extra for the cooked breakfast but... Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Crown and Cushion is a delightful pub with 8 en-suite rooms. It is pleasantly situated in Eton high street, which is a stones throw from Windsor.Situated in the picturesque setting of Eton High Street we are surrounded by history. Dating back to the 1600’s, The Crown and Cushion has been an Inn since 1753.Just minutes walk from Windsor Castle and Eton College and a short drive away from various attractions including Legoland, Royal Ascot Racecourse and Cliveden House.Having recently been refurbished, The Crown and Cushion offers you good food and good accommodation at reasonable prices. We have eight en-suite rooms: 2 Kings, 4 Doubles and 2 singles. Put up beds and / or a travel cot can be added if needed at no extra cost. Continental Breakfast is included. The building is full of character and is very quirky in places. Allegedly built from old ships timbers some of the floors are wonky and lots of the floorboards are creaky – but that is what makes it charming! The rooms are situated over two floors so if you require a first floor room please mention at the time of booking and we will do our best.We have an unusual American theme and our aim is to make you feel as relaxed as possible and send you off happy whether you have just had a drink, meal or a whole night’s stay. There is an outside patio should you wish to eat or drink outside. All our food is available for takeaway if you don’t have time to stop or you want to eat at home. For our staying guests, parking is available on site but this is not unlimited and we therefore request that parking is allocated to one car per booking. We will try and accommodate any reasonable request from any of our customers so if you do have any special requirements then please just ask.*June 2013 – Please be aware that whilst our rooms are refurbished we are in the final phase of finishing the bathrooms some redecoration work may be in progress we will try and keep any disruption to a minimum. ... more   less
