We are really suprised by the negative comments on here, we stayed here 2 nights ago and really enjoyed our stay. For a very reasonable price we had a large comfortable cabin that slept 5 of us very well. There was a very nice breakfast included in the morning and staff were helpful, friendly and polite throughout our stay. There... More

Very grateful we only booked for one night. Intestingly we were asked to pay before goingto the room - and I can understand why! Truly the worst room we have ever stayed in - and we have stayed in a great many b&b's. Such a shame as we had a lovely time in Windsor anf would like to visit again.... More

We booked in on a Tuesday afternoon and were taken by staff (who seemed to be annoyed at our arrival) through the pub to the outside building with the rooms. Our room (for 3) was basic, quite shabby and dated but clean although very crowded. The double bed had been shoved against the wall and a single added. Linens and... More

We stayed here in November for my daughters birthday and I must say we were very pleasantly surprised! The rooms were spacious and clean and the breakfast was very very good. The food at the pub in the evening was also very nice and the staff very friendly and flexible with our requirements (they brought out a slice of cake... More

Comfortable, clean beds and pleasant if dull rooms. Some up very steep stairs, ask for outside rooms if this is a problem. Convenient for Castle, parking in yard though cars needed shuffling to avoid being blocked in. Outside rooms in yard look a bit grim painted black gloss (why?) and dusty and cobwebby outside but cosy inside. Breakfast ample (no... More

The hotel is a 5 -10 min walk from the castle, which is far enough walk if you want to look around. It has a nice resturant on site, but there are also lots other place's to eat in the area. The rooms are big enough for 2 - 3 people with all the comforts you would have at home.... More

Looked like a cosy pub from the outside. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Nothing too much trouble. The bar was comfortable and the extended dining room was full of character. The food was home cooked to perfection - the steak was much better than the steak house we went to the night before. We stayed in the flat, which... More

Stayed 3 nights B&B. Room was clean & tidy, breakfast was served in the conservatory & more than met our needs. Ate in the pub on Friday night, and also had Sunday lunch - both times excellent pub grub! Location is slightly out of the town centre, which made for a relatively quiet stay, but close enough to the castle,... More

Stayed here recently and was very impressed. It's at the opposite end of the pedestrian precinct to Windsor Castle but that's only a pleasant six minute walk. Nice pub, smart, with cask ales and a conservatory restaurant. Bedrooms in adjacent stable block. Paid 55 for a single room with breakfast, great value.

A really nice little place with good service and friendly staff. Not the most updated, but very much value for money. Comfortable and clean hough of course mod cons like shower and loo might be located in former cupboards, but so what- the price is ok and the breakfast is healthy. Friendly staff and all in all nothing to complain.
