Great service, clean room with good facilities - its basic but ideal if you just need somewhere to crash for the night. Very quiet (unlike the Travelodge) Full cooked breakfast was one of the best I've had in a while. Great location only a few minutes walk from Maidenhead town centre and the train station.

Stayed here on two occasions a couple of months ago. First was in the very nice, twin room on the top floor with a great refurbished bathroom. Second time was a first floor single room with a shared bathroom. Yes, the decor is a slightly odd - an eclectic mix of faux-colonial and what you would expect to find at... More

We stayed at the Lawn Guest house for one night. It is not the prettiest place, a bit reminiscent of England in the 1970s. One of our rooms had shared toilet facilities (which we knew when we booked) and the other was en suite. The ensuite room had a small double and a single in it - so great value... More

When we first got there I have to admit I was a little taken back. It was awkward, both for me and I think for my husband. The lady was very short all business very little hospitable behavior to be sure, it was all money and business. The room was clean but very basic and not at all in any... More

Hello, Considering we paid £65 for bed and breakfast we weren't expecting much. On arrival we paid upfront yet we kept in silence whilst another pair where paying. To be honest, it was a little awkward. We were on the top floor, and the bed is oddly positioned. Being 6ft1 tall, the bed being placed where it was meant that... More

Yes the furniture is a little dated, the bed creaked when I got in it, it reminded me of the type of bed my grandparents had, complete with peach coloured counterpane. underneath was very nice white bedding (loose the counterpane!), having said that I had the best nights sleep and did not notice any further creaking of the bed. The... More

For the price, this place is what you might expect. We had a very small room for the three of us with the continuous hazard of hitting your head on the ceiling. It looked like it was furnished from a garage sale. The shower room was tiny. There was a hole in the floor and the carpet was the only... More

I just booked and paid via Expedia to stay at this hotel this weekend. On phoning the hotel the most abrupt rude woman who was the manager answered and forgetting she didn't speak English properly was quite clear that she didn't want the business of anyone with a 10 month old child in a travel cot. I stay at upwards... More

I recently stayed for 4 nights whilst starting a new job in the area. The hotel is clean and well organised. The breakfast was simple yet very good. The lady I dealt with (Zana?) was very helpful indeed including with some additional requests I had.

The Lawn Guest House is a large Victorian house some 10 minutes or so from Maidenhead Town Centre and Railway Station. There’s sufficient on-site parking. My room was large (a family room for single occupation at no extra charge) and the bed was reasonably comfortable although the pillows were a little thin. The bathroom was well appointed and reasonably newly... More
