I booked a double room via booking com and got move to a twin room with a bed that was 150mm shorter than me. The room was very poorly decorated , dirty and shower didn't work. Over all a very bad experience.

My partner and I booked this hotel as we were attending Ascot races...although from the outside it has seen.better days we were given a warm welcome and we're able to get into our room at 11 rather than having to wait..we had booked the executive room but we're given an alternative room I'm not sure why however the room was... A lovely building with some super features, unfortunately in desperate need of total refurbishment.our 'executive room' was unclean, stained carpet, live bluebottle flies in curtains, cobwebs ,cracked and damp ceiling....generally unkempt. Loud traffic noise throughout the night.

Normally I stay at another B&B when I go to Ascot, but unfortunately it was full. So I guess I was attracted to Brockenhurst as it seemed to have the English country house look. Do you know when something doesn't leave any impression on you at all and there's nothing much to say. Brockenhurst is a little like that. I... More

This is a pretty basic hotel but had everything I needed for an overnight stay. It was lovely and quiet, the bed was so soft and comfy and the towels were thick and plush, what more could a girl ask for. Breakfast was buffet style with freshly made toast but you could have a hot breakfast for an additional charge

I have had the fortune of traveling a lot over the years, however I have to say this is the worst place I have ever stayed. First of all the whole place smells of smoke as the owners and staff smoke and must smoke inside the premises. The room had very dated facilities along with about 15 spiders and moths.... More

i read the reviews after i booked so was a little dubious, but i need not of worried, it was a joy, a beautiful building , friendly helpful staff, situated in a lovely wooded road full of very very expensive propertys, we stayed for one night, but would of liked to have stayed for more, oh and wonderful grounds, i... We arrived on Saturday to go to a theme park on the Sunday and stayed on the Sunday as well. First impressions were that this was an idyllic hotel set along a road with other large houses and the hotel competed with the best of them. The owner was very welcoming and the bar prices were very reasonable. The only... More

Frankly in the 21st century i do not expect to see little signs informing me i will be charged £10 if i bring any food or alcohol into my hotel room as a lone traveler I much prefer to eat in privacy, the room was comfortable enough, but the television unreliable, staff seemed nice enough but with the little signs... This is a small hotel with ample parking for the number of guests. The rooms are reasonably well fitted (there is even an iron and ironing board) and clean. There is a bar lounge but no lift. The continental breakfast is adequate.
