We stayed for 2 nights at the end of May 2015. Staff was helpful and friendly and the rooms were clean, but this is everything good I can say about this hotel. Rooms were tiny, had one radiator with only "on/off" adjustments, windows wouldn't open. It's ok for a short stay but not for a holiday.

great location for a city stay in salisbury. the rooms are newly decorated and clean because of it. i had the family room, the Nelson suite. it was very large, but ok for a family. however it was street level and i wanted to close the curtains due to privacy, but the electric light was so poor, it made the... Location: close to city center, but in Salisbury everything is within a walking distance so it doesn't really matter. All restaurants that you can find on the internet, are within a 10 minute walk and it's full of them. So is Tesco in case you need to buy something from the supermarket. If you prefer fast food, there are McDonald's... More

A convenient location and seemed quite clean. The is no elevator and the stair cases are winding, narrow and rather steep. Don't bring in your heavy luggage! My room was tiny but workable for 1 person; 2 people would feel tight. There is free wifi but I couldn't access it in my room so I had to sit in one... More

I booked 3 rooms at City Lodge Salisbury for the night of 6th May 2015-we had two other couples travelling with us. Always apprehensive about booking accommodation for other people I needed somewhere to stay that was clean, convenient and not overpriced. I made the right decision- all 6 of us were impressed by the standard of cleanliness, the comfort... More

The hotel does not do breakfast but the convenient city centre location means there are plenty of good places to eat nearby. Salisbury is quite small so all the tourist attractions, shops, transport are within reasonable walking distance. My room on the first floor was very clean and roomy with a good sized bathroom. The furniture and bedding was of... More

We used this hotel as a useful overnight stop when visiting Salisbury Playhouse. I would describe it as (standard wise) being up market from a Travelodge, but maybe quite not as good as a Premier Inn, this could be because it's only a small chain of hotels at the moment. The room on the ground floor, we had (No3), was... More

We booked the City Lodge online, I needed to call them to verify the room had sufficient equipment for my husband who has mobility problems. Anieska the manager was very helpful. We got to the hotel earlier than anticipated and managed to check in, again Anieska was there very cheerful and helpful, as were the other staff we saw during... More

Thank you for your review, I am sorry to hear that you had a spoilt night's sleep. As you mention, the hotel is a very old listed building with plenty of character. As a small family business, we pride ourselves on delivering good quality accommodation and service with value for money. We would ask any guest, if they had a... More

I walked past the entrance, it was so discreet. Once inside, the welcome was warm and the room was just right - clean and comfortable but of course budget-sized. The boutique feel comes from the non-squareness of the room and old-fashioned wood dressing table. The free wifi was fast enough for Tumblr. The only thing I can think of to... More

the city lodge is a small hotel right in the middle of sailsbury the location is fantastic close to the cathedral local attractions and the bus and train station. the rooms are small but very comfortable and the prices very reasonable. they do not offer any meals and have no restraint but there are many cafes bars and pubs within...
