No thrills but perfectly adequate unless you want luxury. They do not serve breakfast but the Cathedral hotel a few doors down serve non residents. Handy secure courtyard for storing bikes. Helpful staff

139 for two nights double room. Not a huge room but clean and comfortable. Very helpful receptionist. Main drawback is the lack of parking but it's so central that can be overcome. Tea and coffee in room but breakfast has to be found elsewhere.

We were travelling for a wedding and arrived in Salisbury early, the staff were nice enough to let us leave our luggage there while we explored the town. It is perfect walking distance to the shops and Salisbury Cathedral. It is an old hotel but clean and comfortable. Wish we had known that there was a night club directly opposite,... More

Our ground floor room was lovely and the bath very well appointed. The hotel is clean and the staff is very helpful and friendly. On a scale of one to ten this one is definitely a ten. City Lodge is right in the heart of Salisbury and everything is within an easy walk. We had breakfast at a Costa only... More

We had a ground floor room that wasn't huge but was very comfortable and clean. The staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Plenty of spare water bottles, biscuits, tea and coffee. Extra towels were no problem. It's very central and easy to walk to all parts of the centre of Salisbury.

The hotel is nothing fancy but clean, facilities needed and great location. The room I stayed in was a good size and very nice bathroom. There is an iron in the hallway for guests to share and on arrival the lady on the desk was friendly enough. Easy walk to all the main sights, restaurants etc. Quick stroll to the... More

Booked late for a couple of nights in Salisbury. Very few rooms available at reasonable prices so got pushed towards City Lodge. If you're looking for a typical modern room with a trouser press etc, do not stay here! But if you are after a small, very reasonably priced, clean, good location, this is it. Our first room was a... Do not stay at this hotel at the weekend would be my advice. Situated opposite a busy night club having a room at the front of this hotel is not ideal let me tell you.. Noisy until early hours when the Police started the crowd control shouting at the top of their voices to hostile revellers. Awful nights sleep, well... More

Well positioned near the centre of town - helpful staff, clean and cosy room up in the eves - nothing to fault it (except possibly that we had a bath and no shower) and wonderful value. TV, good Wi-fi, tea/coffee facilities etc. Would stay there again

I stayed there 2 nights. Worst hotel I have even stayed in. Staff were either to busy taking on their mobiles than acknowledge guests, one couldn't be bothered to look up from her computer. Towels had hair on them and pubic hair was on the sink. Sheets were stained. Do you clean the towels/sheets. Bed was not even straight, felt... More
