We booked the City Lodge online, I needed to call them to verify the room had sufficient equipment for my husband who has mobility problems. Anieska the manager was very helpful. We got to the hotel earlier than anticipated and managed to check in, again Anieska was there very cheerful and helpful, as were the other staff we saw during... More

I walked past the entrance, it was so discreet. Once inside, the welcome was warm and the room was just right - clean and comfortable but of course budget-sized. The boutique feel comes from the non-squareness of the room and old-fashioned wood dressing table. The free wifi was fast enough for Tumblr. The only thing I can think of to... More

Very fun style to it with exposed tree parts through the walls. A bit cramped of a location from the stairs, doorways, rooms, especially the shower (ceiling was slanted). We had an issue with the heater in our room not turning on. The staff was very helpful & friendly. They were able to supply us a space heater that did... More

This was perfect for a cheap business stay as I was in a small single room with not a lot of space to move but everything I needed. The shower worked well, the bed was comfortable and the staff were pleasant. The hotel is located very close to Salisbury's main square so the lack of a restaurant isn't a problem.... More

We had no previous knowledge of City Lodge, but, having spent a week there, would heartily recommend it to anyone else thinking of staying in Salisbury. There is no provision of food, but this is reflected in the price, and it is simple enough to self-cater, if needed, with very ready staff support. In fact, the staff were supportive at... More

The rooms were clean, bed was comfortable, hot water for bath/shower was plentiful and a good size TV with a good selection of freeview channels. The rooms were a little small, the room at the front (20) was very loud from the club opposite. The room at the back (24) was fine until both the mirror light and the main... More

Apparently, at some point they realized that they needed better water pressure. The result is a very loud pump noise when anyone in any of the rooms flushes the toilet or runs water in the basin or shower. Good water pressure but at the price of a lot of noise. The bathroom is roomy but it was always cold. There... More
