WIth both the train station and the centre of Salisbury this is an idea place for a weekend away in Wiltshire. Breakfast is an additional option from the pub next door and is good value. However, one small quibble is that the window overlooked where staff took their breaks and the smoke from their cigarette smoke drifted into the bedroom... More

Very nice room, good service. Like a maze trying to find the room but very comfortable and quiet. A sign telling you to put key card in slot to turn on electrics would be useful- Had fun trying to work it out.

We arrived mid afternoon Sunday and were put of by the tables inside and out full of glasses and plates, bar staff indifferent, they served my Carlsberg in an IPA glass, Monday 7.15 a different place . smiling staff everywhere spotless, we ate breakfast every day and evening, perfect, the room was fantastic overlooking the rooftops to the Cathedral, we... The hotel is ideally located near the cathedral - everything was good apart from the noise coming from the street as there is a pub and a bar just downstairs .. also the breakfast is not amazing but apart from that the service the bedrooms are just as you expect ; very good.

good central location, easy to find. really large room over Barclays banks with lots of windows; sound insulation to street OK but some noise. walls to next room too thin so could hear everything through walls. Wifi provided by The Cloud which is a pain to log in to (requires permitting spam emails etc) and isn't as quick and easy... More

Dear MollyZero, Thank you for taking the time to review us on TripAdvisor. I am very sorry that you experienced a less than pleasant check in from the receptionist on duty. Please be assured that the member of staff has been spoken to as it is very unusual for staff to be anything less than welcoming. I'm glad the rest... More

The hotel itself is very well decorated and welcoming. The girl on reception was informative and smiley. The room itself was spotless. We stayed on a weeknight and were located at the bback of the building, so perhaps that was to thank for the wonderful restful night sleep. Bed was comfy. Breakfast at the weatherspoons was lovely. Would definitely return.

I stayed two nights for the above music festival at the Cathedral. Very friendly staff a comfortable bed and superb bathroom and rain shower facility. Really good breakfasts which were charged extra but at ridiculously low prices. This is a very central hotel just 5 minutes walk from the Cathedral. Although on a main road the room was well insulated... More

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, and we're glad to hear you enjoyed your stay. Unfortunately due to the age of the building and its location right in the heart of Salisbury there is no room to add an onsite car park. The nearest car park is however just a short 5 minute walk away... More

they provided my dietary needs ie soya milk. However no sunflower spread at breakfast only butter. Good vegetarian brekkie tho asked for no egg and asked for more mushrooms. 1 mushroom replaced 1 egg thus having only 2 mushrooms. Bit disappointed there. Slow runaway of water in the shower which was reported. But good to have modern ensuite; bottled water... More
