Me and my family came to the lazy cow, we didn't expect much but we was so amazed as soon as we walked in, it is such a beautiful building inside and out, the display is amazing. The food..wow I took my three year old niece and she love the food and she is normally really fussy with her food!... More

We were due to stay here for 2 nights in May as a cheap Peppa-Pig stop-off enroute to Devon. However, when we arrived the whole place was so disgusting we immediately cancelled our booking and got a room at the hotel next door. First of all, walking in through the courtyard on a quiet Thursday afternoon, we were greeted with... More

Great hotel with great staff! The Lazy cow is so unique from other hotels and all the rooms are different which makes this hotel stand out!! I could not find fault with any aspect of the hotel. Great breakfast and attention to detail. I love the quirky bedrooms and the attentiveness of the staff who were all friendly. Definately will... More

We decided on the Lazy Cow Hotel for an overnight stay as we thought it would offer something a little different. The hotel is in a great location & looks so quirky from the outside, on arrival it took a while to check in as staff were far & few between (something with continued) we'd booked the Moo Cow Suite... As much as we wanted to LOVE this place, we were left feeling a bit disappointed. The problem with this hotel is that the owners undoubtedly poured a ton of $$ into reno's and probably ended up in the red. Therefore there are tons of problems (internal and aesthetic) that need to be corrected but I doubt that they have... More

See email to manager below, it says it all. Dear sir / madam. We were sorely disappointed by our stay at you establishment. I cant fault your staff who seemed pleasant enough I approached a member of staff and asked to speak to the manager but you were not available. I voiced my points to her which were. 1) the... More

Great quirky building with bags of potential. This issue is the place is just not clean. cobwebs in the bedrooms, rot around the windows, crumbs on the capets, bird mess everywhere outside, food all over the floors in the restaurant which is subsequently trodden throughout the hotel. A real shame. My major concerns is this level of untidyness and lack... More

Like your crazy Uncle Bertie, this place is a bit different. Hundreds of years old with tilting stairs & a rumored brothel tunnel, don't stay here if you are after a Holiday Inn. A group of 8 of us stayed for 4 nights while visiting a local business. Every room is unique. Creaky floors, tiny (or large) bathrooms, coffee makers... More

We stayed at the hotel for £75.00 bed and breakfast. We were given a black and gold room at the top of the hotel which meant a room with low ceilings. The bed was large and comfortable with clean bedding. There was no coffee machine or hair dryer in the room but these were provided when requested. The room was... More
