Arrived in Salisbury with no reservations or a clue really. First choices were full and we were getting a bit panicky. Parking in Salisbury is a real pain and we had no coins left as we were flying home the next morning. Stomachs were also feeling sadly empty so imagine our relief to be sent off to The Chapter House... More

We had previously stayed here last year on our wedding night and returned for our anniversary. Since last year the hotel has changed ownership (was previously a Lazy Cow). We also booked a table for an evening meal. The menu had plenty on choice and had a air of 'Posh Pub Grub' about it. Prices were reasonably however a glass... More

Read the reviews on Trip Adviser for this property and cancelled my existing booking with another property. Boy! was I glad. This place is brilliant. Our room was beautiful The whole place was like something out of a fairy tale. Service was excellent. Nothing was too much to ask. Lovely atmosphere. We stayed 3 nights and visited Bath and Bristol.... More

Very much enjoyed our four days at this Hotel. Helpful staff, great food, lovely quirky furniture in the restaurant. Particularly enjoyed a wine tasting event which included helpful information, tasty food and great wine. Always happy to return to this hotel after exploring Salisbury and attending the Festival events.

It's a beautiful old building which has been subject to an impressive interior decor job, and it's a pleasure walking round the old corridors and up and down the rickety staircases. It's a lovely looking bar and restaurant, though we didn't have a chance to take advantage during our one-night stay other than enjoying an excellent Full English breakfast. The... More

We were absolutely delighted with the inviting atmosphere and the hospitality of the Chapter House. If you are a history buff, the building was built sometime around the reign of King Henry III. THAT’S NOT TO SAY that there was straw on the floor and fowl running about. It is modern where needed, but genuinely quirky and fun. It was... More

Best hotel I stayed in on our month long trip through Europe. staff were friendly. Hotel was neat, and clean. bedroom was great and the bed was very comfortable. The only problem was the free WiFi. The signal was very weak. Breakfast was awesome. We also enjoyed a really good dinner there. Would stay there again.

The crazy building leans even more. 800 years down 800 to go. But the crazy staff and management are brilliant, service unlimited. Food and drink enough to make the stairs straight. To step back to the days of mediaeval hostelry with all this millennium's services, even plumbing and puddings to die for. Don't miss the experience.👑

I'll start with the good stuff. The dining room is well priced, has tasty food, and is charming, and the location is extra fantastic (across the street from a gate to the cathedral close). The room we had was decorated in a nice rustic style in new furniture. The staff are friendly. Now for the other stuff. Our room was... More

How lovely to stay in a hotel with real character and history. So different from the sterile, bland rooms found in so many hotel chains. This Tudor building is fascinating, with narrow staircases, sloping floors and sash windows. Our family room was spacious with a large bathroom, flat screen TV, quality tea and coffee and luxurious toiletries and towels. Modern... More
