A little post Christmas trip up to Salisbury resulted in a gorgeous find, The Chapter House. Within a five minute walking distance to the Cathedral you couldn't ask for a better location. We stayed in a family room which catered perfectly to the needs of two small children whilst still maintaining that special feeling of staying in a hotel. Dinner... More

My wife and I popped in on the off chance not realising the old cow had been to market and had new owners/management team. From walking in to leaving I can not fault the staff, our waitress was delightful and helpful giving a perfect balance of attention and space. The food was fantastic and although some reviews may say it... More

On arrival we were met with a friendly and warm welcome, service was superb through out our visit. All the staff we met were lovely. The whole place is clean and comfortable and generally a nice place to be. The food is exceptional and created with obvious passion and pride, we ate as part of a large group and all... More

Stayed in the Lazy Cow for the second time at the beginning of October and again, couldn't find fault with anything. The staff are all friendly and helpful and the bedrooms are quirky and different from other hotel chains. The breakfast was outstanding. It is a pleasure to come to this hotel and the staff could not have been more... More

I'm really shocked to see this place has 4.5 stars on TripAdvisor, as it is an utter shambles! We were so disappointed - what was supposed to be a relaxing weekend break was nothing but stress, due to the noisy, cold, damp rooms with filthy bathrooms. The staff did kindly move us when we pointed out that the windows in... More

A quirky hotel well located for the splendid little city of Salisbury. Young staff who looked to be out of their depth and when all the faults we had were discussed it became clear the hotel is about to close for refurb. Just a shame that the hotel didn't tell us that when we booked.

Good Points : Location is great and the bedroom was of a good size ( it was a family room ) but the sofa ( as part of the sofa bed ) was not comfortable enough to sit on. Staff were friendly but not focussed on the customer. Bad Points : Overpriced for what your get. It needs to be... More

I only tried the restaurant. The restaurant was beautiful, wonderful environment. The staff was super cool and professional. I was expecting more like a pub food and when I got served I was really surprised by the quality of the food, a bit sophisticated but yet yummy! They had for dessert "shots" which were mini desserts, I ordered 2 and... More

Now, I have been to many many hotels, b&b's and I have read the petty reviews that have recently been put on, this hotel b & b call it what you want, offers the traveller, excellent accommodation for a great price, booked two rooms staying for my daughter's graduation in the Cathedral, arrived in torrential rain, and was given a...
