Salisbury Hostel has a very pleasant appearance in an elegant old estate-type house on attractive and spacious grounds. Check in was efficient and friendly. The kitchen and lounge areas were very clean. Sadly, while I was there I learned that YHA is planning to sell the building and close this hostel within one year! This seems very strange since, on... Even though it is a bit worn, the YHA in Salisbury is a great place to stay. The staff is friendly, and the location is really close to the centre of the city. Breakfast was great, ant the setting is that of an "oasis" in town. The staff was good at giving information and provided us with a map and... More

the hostel is small but acceptable for a city like Salisbury. The hostel is quite far to walk and with no clear direction from the railway station. In fact, it is basically a straight walk from the station but because it is a bit far to walk you may wonder if you have got the right way. The last section... More

I was staying with my 3 young children. We were put in a separate wooden cabin behind the main building that had about 6 dorms in it. The place was filthy. The carpets were so disgusting I wouldn't let my children walk barefoot. The walls were covered in mould. The room and mattresses were damp and smelt really bad. It... More

Booked a family room for one night, and thank goodness it was only one! The positives: staff very friendly and the location is pretty central, five minutes' brisk stroll into the centre. The negatives? Mould on the ceiling, overall damp, humid air. Carpet tiles out of place. Cobwebs in the toilets. Peeling paint all over the exterior of the main... More

Big thumbs up to the people who run the HYA Salisbury. Really friendly and accommodating staff who know a lot about the local area, great property set back from the main road. close walk to the centre of town with clean and secure dorms. This was the first YHA I have stayed at and after this stay it certainly won't... More

The customer service was on the whole very good - very friendly and helpful staff (apart from the chef who snapped at me for ringing the bell at breakfast a 3rd time when I got no response the first 2 times) and a nice location, but for a hostel, it was such a rip off. I booked a private twin... More

Me and my friends were at YHA Salisbury during a bank holiday! We had a great time, the hostel is very nice, great location, very clean, good, secure and healthy environment! Salisbury is a lovely city and YHA Salisbury is a great option for students and short money travellers!

we chose Salisbury YHA for an overnight stay while visiting Salisbury and surrounding areas. The YHA was easy to find, close to the town centre, nicely tucked away from the hustle and bustle. On arrival we checked in and friendly staff guided us to our room. Slightly disappointed to see that the old wooden bunkbeds were still in use, we... More
