This hotel needs a serious refurbishment (apparently scheduled for July 2009). Floor boards in the bathroom and in the hallway were loose. The drains smelled horrible, had to put the plug in to keep it from going into the room. Carpets are dated and worn. Throughout the hallways there is a smell of those artifical refreshners. An easy 15 mins walk from the city centre and with loads of free parking, this hotel was ideal - clean, tidy and with helpful and knowledgable staff. Next door is TGI Fridays. more

A very clean and comfortable hotel much higher in Standard to Travelodge and Ibis. Not exactly in the City Centre but within easy walking distance to all the main areas. Quite unlike some of the reviews here, I had a fantastic welcome when I checked into this hotel. Professional, friendly, willing to go the extra mile to point out decent places to eat, and so on. Very impressed. The hotel also had ample free parking outside (pretty rare for Leeds). The centre of town is a 15-20 minute walk away.... more
