3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 16, 2013 NEW

It's an old hotel that needs refurbishing but location is great and the breakfast was pretty good. Staff at reception and at breakfast were friendly and pleasant. On the downside, the windows are single pane with no internal double glazing so there is noise from outside and a draft here and there. Decor is plain but although everything appears clean,... More

Hotel is tired, little grubby looking & quite noisy. However worst of all is service, attempted to call hotel several times prior to my stay to arrange car parking & couldn't get an answer, called room service number several times to order dinner & couldn't get an answer so instead called reception and again couldn't get an answer. Wouldn't recommend... More

Lovely old building but creaking under its limitations. Stayed for two nights in a small (But clean!) room TV Reception poor and limited. Hotel very busy with seminars/groups during the day - feeding frenzy at the buffet. Evening food from menu was OK but honestly unimaginative - the same as the other hotels in the chain. Expensive for what you... More

The funky name is about the only good thing about this sad and desperately in need of a refurb hotel. The Good: the room came equipped with a hair dryer, Iron/ board, vanity mirror, full length mirror. The curtains were thick and well fitted, thus keeping out the early sun. Good quality pillow/ quilt and bed linen. On the face... More

The fantastic exterior of this building gives way to a modern functional reception area. The staff were friendly and accommodating, as our room wasn't ready when we arrived early. We used Super-breaks to book the hotel and train which was very reasonable and worked out at £65 each for my wife and I, for two nights b&b including first night... More

Had a 60th Birthday Party celebration at The Leeds Met. It was very well organised the staff were all very good and nothing was too much trouble, one member of staff Dorian was exceptionally good. The food was of very good quality and all our guets enjoyed it, the room was excellent and well set out for our needs. Thanks... More

The Met looks quite grand from the outside and has a spacious, comfortable reception that seems to promise good things. Upstairs in the bedroom this goes downhill. Old uncomfortable beds, poor lighting, old TVs taking up half the desk and looking out of place in a 4* hotel, small bathrooms and a shower that seems designed to spill water on... More
