Bring your own kettle! The rooms and staff were brilliant and the accessible room was indeed accessible, but there was no tea making facility, TV, or hair dryer in the room. You could get tea and coffee free of charge from the lounge, but only at certain times! I didn't realise that this was a catholic hotel when I booked,... More

An excellent, comfortable stopover for one night. Very quiet! You would not think that you were so close to central Leeds as the ground are beautiful - very leafy! The rooms were basic but very clean. We had a television though. All the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful....and the breakfast was fabulous! We will be visiting again, as the... More

We chose this venue to hold a lunchtime party for my father's 90th Birthday. I cannot find any fault. The venue is amazing (if you get chance to look round the building is beautiful). The staff could not do enough to help and the food (which had to cater to specific dietary needs) was absolutely fabulous. Many thanks to Austin,... More

An ideal and very good value place to stay when visiting Leeds students, for instance, just 5-10m walk from Headingley (plenty of restaurants/pubs) or Hyde Park (good N.African restaurant-café) and a short bus ride from the centre. We stayed twice in 2 weeks, once to pick up our daughter and then to return for her graduation, finding the hotel easily... More

Just stayed and enjoyed it, staff at the forefront were helpful even though very busy. Brekfast was excellent and would just pay the money to have that by itself :-), overall maybe a bit overlooked but to be honest glad I found such a great hotel with a great feeling of welcoming

This has been an excellent choice for an overnight or longer ... Ensuite rooms, Secure Parking and lovely grounds close to the City centre. A very Peaceful place and excellent value ... a great alternative to hotels in the city centre. Rooms are equipped with full bedding, Towels and shower Gel!

We booked on the day to stay here and got a budget room for £49.50. It had no tv or tea station but we didn't mind as only using it as a place to stay. The grounds were beautiful and breakfast even better! Cater for vegetarians too. Very close to centre of Leeds. Would definitely stay again.

As soon as we drove down the long drive and found it easy to find a parking space we could see that the place looked great, pretty modern furniture inside but old buildens, the staff was very friendly and gave us a mini tour and made us feel welcome, we was given a free upgrade which was great, the rooms... Stopped last weekend may 3rd. Room and facilities adequate for the money on a bank holiday weekend but I started scratching my arms the day after and can only assume the bed was a flea haven. Not impressed

Austin S, Manager at Hinsley Hall, responded to this review

We took this comment seriously and despite the fact that the room the guest stayed in has been occupied almost continuously since the date in question (including 1 regular guest for 4 nights) we took the room off and called out a pest control company. They thoroughly checked the bed, furniture, bedding, carpets and curtains and found no signs of... More

I have stayed here on business several times and have never been disappointed. The food is always excellent. The en-suite rooms are comfortable. Bar is small but adequate. Kitchenettes are a welcome addition on each floor. Lovely location set back off the main road in lovely grounds. Looking forward to my next stay later in the year.
