Could not believe our luck in stumbling across Hinsley Hall on the Internet. We needed a B&B near the city center so we could visit patient in Leeds Infirmary. 4 different buses stop at the end of the driveway so avoided the nightmare of parking at the hospital. Definitely not a full service hotel, but perfect for our needs. Clean,... More

This Catholic conference centre offered us a warm welcome - staff couldn't have been more helpful! We had a peaceful night, followed by an excellent breakfast and conference facillities which were superlative. The grounds are lovely for a stroll and there is plenty of parking. We will come again!

Fantastic big old building reminds me of childhood holidays. Somewhat institutional but it's part of the charm. Very quiet and good for working. Not all rooms have wifi but there is always wifi in the library and lounges and bar. Staff are mature and competent and there is a calm atmosphere. Breakfast is rubbish. 1980's British. Nothing vegan except toast... More

Set in beautiful gardens well away from the main road. We were able to check in before the time stated. The room was basic but clean, the bed comfier than some more expensive hotels we've stayed in! Decent breakfast. Only downside was the fact the shower wasn't hot enough despite the water from the basin tap being very hot! Value... More

We booked to stay over on a Thursday night after spending day with student daughter in Leeds. It was a little difficult to spot the sign on the main road as it isn't lit up at night. As previous reviewers have said this is not a hotel , rather a simple place to rest . There are only basic facilities... More

I'm not a lover of glitzy corporate chain hotels that have little atmosphere so I enjoy it more in places with more character such as Hinsley Hall. We booked 3 rooms through Trivago and got a bargain rate and chose a further £10 reduction because we did not need a TV in our room. We only stayed for the Saturday... More

I was a bit disappointed with my stay at Hinsley Hall as I expected more from a hotel with so many positive reviews both on TripAdvisor and on Booking.com. From the outside the hotel looks magnificent, very nice looking building in the middle of very well kept gardens. but once you check in with the (I have to say) very... More

I am sorry that you were disappointed with your recent stay at Hinsley Hall., We do try to give value for money and a high percentage of our guests are regulars. We do offer the full cooked breakfast from 7.15am on request and there are tea/coffee making facilities on each bedroom corridor. More

Very helpful guy behind reception, lovely building with a great view. Plenty of secure parking. No tv or kettle in rooms but wi fi is available. Rooms and bathrooms are very spacious and clean. Would recommend. Breakfast staff very friendly and accommodating.

This is not a Hotel. The friendly chap on reception told me they can only be classed as a B and B, but what a great place. Please do not be put off with any religious connection as the subject is never mentioned. What you get for a very modest price is a beautiful building in a great location with... More
