Beautiful room, good price, amazing shower, huge bed, GREAT sleep, beautiful smelling soap! Was here for a business trip, close to city centre, would definitely reccomend! Only downfall was breakfast- had prepaid, and the hobbs were broken, so could only have a bacon or sausage sandwich from under the grill, I asked about the sausages and found out the were... More

We booked for a weekend away, hotel location is great close to train station, shops & nightlife. The room was just a standard room and was spacious with a massive comfy bed. Only downside was that we had an internal window overlooking the gin bar felt a bit awkward having the shutter open although nobody should have been able to... More

Just returned from an overnight stay and this is in the top league of our favourite hotels. Short walk from main train station in the business district, was welcomed by friendly receptionist. Was early and left our bag and went into town. came back later on and our bag had been sent to the room. We only opted for the standard... More

This was my second visit to the New Ellington, and definitely will not be the last, its ideally situated for shops and restaurants, yet just far enough away from the noise. Thank you for the very friendly welcome from staff and management alike. The room was very comfortable and clean, big comfy bed, with lovely linens, great blinds, kept out... More

I have previously stayed here once a month (for the past 3-4 years) and it's pretty good by Leeds standards. I've had the best ever club sandwich (sadly very dependant on which on duty manager is working), some great gins at their gin bar and some good breakfasts too. There is never any water in the room though and they... More

Dear Markhippo Thank you for taking the time to share your past experiences with the trip advisor community. I was disappointed that on a few occasions you never received the complimentary water that is provided in your chilled minibar. I have spoken with the housekeeping team to ensure this does not occur again. I was pleased to read you enjoyed... More

Stayed here recently after a concert in the city. It was very convenient without being right in the middle of town. The service was very good, rooms clean and tidy, we even got an upgrade. Decided to have breakfast and despite my usual concerns re hotel breakfast, was pleasantly surprised. Good selection of hot and cold options, freshly cooked, not... More

We returned to the New Ellington for a single night's stay at the end of No3Son's first year at the University of Leeds, and again enjoyed the facilities that the hotel has to offer: a comfortable, well appointed room, a relaxing lounge area, and the Gin Garden. The reception staff were very helpful when there was some doubt about the... More
