To be fair, the receptionist was very friendly and helpful. However, this is one of those remaining Travelodges which should have been upgraded, but they forgot to finish it after they rebuilt the reception. The rooms are firmly stuck in the 1970s. There is no character here, no quality , just a decent bed for the night which is cheap.... More

Had guests visiting and we didn't have the room to accommodate them so took them to the nearest TL. Nice warm welcome and the room was basic but very comfortable. I didn't personally get the chance to inspect the room but was informed it was a good standard and the hotel staff were very polite. The bar and food next... More

We stayed for three nights in August 2013. We often stay a Travelodge as we know what we are getting and the prices are good. We found an above average standard for the family room of a Travelodge. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the Toby Carvery next door was a bonus. Overall we felt this was one of the... More

The Lodge is in need of complete refurbishment, it's 20+ years out of date & the rooms are expensive for such an old outdated hotel. It was clean but the beds like everything else were old & well used. However the receptionist was very welcoming & helpful. We did want to stay in Skipton but it was nearly £90 for... More

Quite large twin bedded room with comfortable, clean beds complete with TV and tea/coffee facilities made our overnight stay a pleasant one. There is a Toby Carvery next door which does an all you can eat breakfast for £3.99, coffee or tea is extra but a good way to start the day site seeing this lovely area. We will be... More

This was clean, tidy and a reasonable size. Basic but fine. I would advise anyone to take their own pillow as although the bed was very comfortable the pillows were solid! I bought some in the Asda nearby! Receptionists were incredibly polite and helpful and printed off a route map for us. The trip to the top of the stairs... More

I booked 3 family rooms here, all rooms were clean, tidy & in good repair. The lady on reception desk was very nice & helpful. After getting ready to go out the receptionist booked us a taxi for 5 adults & a toddler free of charge. We encountered no noise even thou we stayed on a Saturday night.

the room was too dark. No main light on the ceiling. Side lights were quite dull as well. The plug next to kettle could not use for hair dryer because the table was on the way. Bath mat stuck to the bottom of bathtub we could not use the bath. Hot water from shower was not hot enough. Very uncomfortable... More
