Lovely rustic accommodation, great for a group of friends & family wanting a place to relax, enjoy the views, ramble on the local foot paths & of cause visit the village pub - 'The Dickie Bird' - they only officially serve food on Friday (fish & chips) but if you ring in advanced they will be happy to cater for... Quirky, family, friendly working farm. The owners Jean and Margret are real characters. They made us feel very welcome, and it was lovely having donkeys, goats calves and collie dogs wandering around the farm yard and fields. The farm is set in lovely country side and has amazing views. We did four walks around the area all enjoyable. The accommodation is... More

We have been coming here for almost fifteen years. Magnificent views. Margaret and Jean, the owners are lovely and we consider them old friends. They are even TV Stars. They appeared on countryfile some years ago. Accomadation good but basic. Non of that matters because its like entering another world. You need to love animals. The peace and tranquility are... We'd stayed at Currer Laithe several times in the 1980s with our young family, and their wonderful memories took us back there in July. One of our daughters made the reservation - the daughter who had loved helping Margaret bed the cattle down for the night all those years ago. This time we were a party of 15 - three... More

A brilliant place! We received a warm welcome from the two wonderful ladies, their dogs, goats, donkeys and cows. Not a place if you like mod-cons, but if you are willing to put up with taps that only work after you have flushed the toilet, windows and doors that rattle when the wind blows, uneven floors, dodging the goats in... 12 adults and 14 children (all 5 and under) stayed in the farmhouse and one of the cottages for a week in August. Ok so the furniture is ancient and its not the cleanest place but it was perfect! With so many young children we didn't need to worry about them spilling things or making a mess they could just... More

We came for a weekend on friday 13th until Sunday 15th June for a gathering with friends. Its safe to say we had a fantastic relaxing weekend. When we got there we were taken back by the views. The place is very old fashioned but it certainly has character and in my opinion, is unspoilt. We had a big barbecue... More

I have been to some lovely different places and had many enjoyable abodes to stay but nothing like this. The two elderly ladies who run this farm are purely out of the Brontes sisters books . The farm so stuck in time it reaps of the historic Yorkshire moors in which it lays. Just go there and you will have... More

This is a wonderful place for groups to stay. Run by two wonderful eldery ladies whose energy put us all to shame. 35 of us passed through the doors over the week, some to stay, some to drop in for coffee. Some had dogs and some had children and as the place has old slate and wood floors and comfortable... More

Just back from cousins retirement and birthday bash at this brilliant barn conversion. Jean and Margaret, the owners are a remarkable couple who still farm there. The accomodation was very old worldly but clean and comfortable and can suitably sleep 15 people and more if you include the two cottages attached to the barn, these sleep 5 in one and 7...
